My attitude to gaa

Hi everyone (21m) how are we, listen before I go anywhere I want to emphasise I actually like watching hurling and football is grand too yesterday was a very rare day I was off the farm so I went out to watch a bit of rugby (NZ France aus ire RSA eng) mostly because I live on my own and don't have a TV, Galway cork was on about the same time as eng RSA, I asked the barman (my cousin) if they had the rugby outside as the hurling was on inside he turned it on for me anyway, but as I got up to leave, a few older lads (40 odd) started going on and on, "you're a young lad this is what you should be watching not that other shite, you're very strange etc" I didn't mind it so much at the time, but it got me thinking, growing up I played from 5-13 odd and was poor enough at it I think, but the amount of times I got called a c!nt had hurleys slapped over my arse and head, shorts pulled down doors kicked against me, coaches abusing parents and players, and also other parents treating my parents poorly, there seems to be a bit of an anti gaa culture growing maybe it's more online, but I know I'm not the only one that's had this experience, so I kind of wonder, is it any wonder that some people grow to hate/resent it a bit as they grow up

Dogs and renting?

I'm renting a place rurally, Half 11 at night in the apartment nextdoor this young American wan has a dog that never shuts up barking and especially when she's gone, jesus Christ I've to be up at 6 to milk 250 cows, can I ask has anyone else experienced this or is there not a whole pile that can be done?

Provinces and NIQ'S

How's it going lads, just want to share my opinion and have people weigh in with their 2 cents, first off let me start by saying hard luck to Leinster fans that must've been a tough watch, they're not a bad team overnight, but all the big game players (Sheehan etc) flopped really, give the urc a proper rattle now. There's been a lot of talk about Leinster needing to get an NIQ out half, tbh I think its a really good idea, it looks like Crowley and frawley will have a big say now and if love to see jack Murphy get some minutes too, maybe even a 9 too because for me Casey doak and devine are Ireland's future, but the problem I have is that after what happened on Saturday Leinster fans immediately turned to "we need NIQ's" now that's fine in my opinion, but how come it isn't for the other provinces? When we (Munster) are saying we really need to sign an NIQ prop or centre, they slate us, (develop yere own or something of that tune is generally the attitude) Ulster the same really (now with bell departing), I just feel like, all 4 Irish provinces should be able to sign NIQ'S without any double standards or judgement, if Leinster need a 10 get a 10, if Munster need a prop, get a prop, if Ulster need a lock, get a lock and no provincial attack of how supposedly poorly other provinces are at development in certain positions, just my 2 cents
