Leased cars and crashes

Hello r/icbc,

I would like to ask, if I crash a leased car in bc, and I don’t want to complete the repairs to it following a claim, will the lease company be able to repair the car without my say and in turn trigger my insurance rates to rise? How would this process occur in the real world, like would they track down the car asap to fix it or wait for it to be returned at the end of the lease to?

Increasing tire size on coupe

Hi everyone,

I have a g35 coupe that’s slammed and I am considering buying the rear 8 inch wide rims a pair of 245 50 17 tires. I have on it 235 50 and it scrapes a lot on the ground, & I think it gets worse as the tires are being worn down.

I nearly bought used 235 55s but I looked up how much larger they are over what its specd for so I didn’t now I’m needing new tires eventually and I’m thinking I can buy the 245 and gain a small amount of diameter but I’m unsure if they’d rub the fenders? Has anyone here tried this setup?
