How do I enter online Tournaments?
I wanna start playing tourneys
I wanna start playing tourneys
Ive gone to a quite a couple local tournaments but because they’re so small (10-20 players) there’s always just 4-5 rounds of Swiss and then the tournament is over. I want to start playing in a couple bigger tournaments but I don’t want to go straight to regionals (also because I’ll have to take the plane for those). But the tournament format is getting kind of old and I want something new and more exciting. So I was wondering, for the people who play local events which are a bit bigger then mine do they just add more Swiss rounds or is there also a top cut. Top cuts feel so exciting because it means you’ve truly gotten to the important/intense section of the event. I know this is a really weird question but it would really help if some people could maybe say how big their events are and the format they use.
I was playing the build and battle and my opponent used Grimsley’s move which allows you to look at the top 7 cards of you deck and put a dark Pokemon you find there on you bench, this Pokemon DOES NOT have to be a basic. So I thought if you pair it with Academy at night which alows you to put a card from your hand on top of your deck. Then you can put a card like mega Sharpedo attach manually a d use Toxtricity’s ability to search you deck for an energy and attach it to the mega Sharpedo to place 2 damage counters on it which now makes his attach go from 120 damage to 270 pair this with subjugating chains to switch it in and throw a binding mochi on it so you hit for 310 for pretty much a basic Pokemon and 2 energy. If you can’t get al the pieces together you can still at using reckless charge with Carvanha to deal damage to itself manually. I’m currently 7-0 with this deck and I haven’t fully perfected it yet. Can some people please help me to do so. I’m also playing Crookadile ex for certain occasions but I’m not sure if it’s optimal.
Right now I have 11 players on my group, I’m working on getting another player and one I’ve done that I was thinking of making some sort of division system. First I was thinking I could make 3 divisions (div 1, div 2 and div 3) since there’s four players in each division they could play a couple games and the person with the most points would get promoted and the with the least relegated. But I felt that in the bottom and top divisions it would stay the same a lot. I could also make it that top 2 and get promoted and bottom 2 relegated but that feels like too much change so that a player who’s perfect for div 2 won’t constantly have to move up or down. On the other hand I could also make it so each division has 6 teams and have 2 divisions instead. Top 2 would get promoted and bottom 2 would get relegated. This stops the feeling of having too little or too much change but now I feel like the divisions feel pointless since there’s only 2 of them. Also it’s hard to make the seasons fair while not making them too long since we generally only get together like once a month. A season could be anywhere from 3-6 games and points world be distributed depending on where you placed in the game (1st: 5p, 2nd: 3p, 3rd: 2p, 4th: 1p). I know this is a lot of information but I would really love to hear the communities feedback. Thanks in advance!
I’ve heard of Arcs, don’t know what’s it about, how it’s played, if I should buy it? I have 3 other game by Leder games. (Root, Fort and Ahoy) I wanted to ask the community about this and if I should buy it?
At my table we play with one custom rule despot infamy. It’s the only really broken mechanic in root and it doesn’t really change vagabond that much. People say give crows 3 plots but that changes their strategy so much. I also wanna keep the game authentic, what rules do you recommend I play with?
