Raincheck

Met a girl on Hinge. We clicked immediately and have gone on 3 dates. Her interest level was a 9 after each day. She initiated planning the next dates, gave me days she was available, and fell completely into her feminine.

We set a date on Wednesday to meet Sunday for our 4th date. This was her last day before school starts back up (she's an educator). 2 days later on Frida while she was spending the weekend at her best friend's house, she told me she needed to raincheck the date because of school prep stress. I said no problem and good luck.

She never replied to that text but it also didn't really prompt a response. Should I reach out in any capacity? Or wait her out and be patient?

Too much time before first date

I (33M) met someone (29F) a couple weeks ago and we hit it off right away. We've been messaging a few times a day, but she was traveling out of state to visit family the first week, and has some car trouble this week so we had to reschedule our date. She told me to let her know what days I am free next week and she'll try to make it work.

2 questions:

  1. How do I keep things from fizzling out? We haven't met in person and you can only get so far texting.

  2. Is she just stringing me along and I'm naive to it?

Hate my neighbors who do this

Hate is a strong word but after 2 years of trying to tolerate I can't anymore. My apartment complex has shared buildings and everyone's individual door is the heavy doors that are hinged to swing shut automatically.

Even if I have full hands with groceries, etc, I always use my body or foot to make sure the door shuts softly. Everyone else just let's it slam shut behind them. It sounds like gunshots every couple of minutes and sometimes multiple times in succession.

My anxiety spikes so high as a result. Literal misery. Landlord's response was "oh, sorry to hear that". Has anyone else dealt with this or something similar?
