Lanterns Ep 1 Spoiler free review : Characters are the heart.

Usually, when watching a show there will be always be boring characters that will make you wanna skip to the plot.

however when it comes to this show it's not the same case. every characters are very interesting.

The standouts are...well dont hate me

-Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart.

Usually,in Mentor-trainee dynamic,

the Mentor is the serious one and the trainee is the funny one.

However, in this show,

It's the opposite and it’s fun. Hal Jordan is funny and VERY LIKEABLE. Jon Stewart is serious but also VERY LIKEABLE.

Very amazing Chemistry between them and the dialogues are very good too.

Hal Jordan's reputation might get restored by this show

See you guys in next sunday/monday.

Doomsday Special look...seems weird (i mean like made with chatgpt weird)

Why Sue is expositing Doom's backstory like that? Im pretty sure that The Avengers need STRATEGY to fight Doom, not BACKSTORY.

Also Thor's exchange with Doom also sounds very weird.

"-you will beg for hell long before i grant it."

"-hell answers to me. "

--these lines sounded like chatgpt when you type the prompt of

"gimme a cool exchange between 2 people that includes hell"

Also why Thor is getting the "punching bag" treatment like the hulk?

Reed and Doom exchange are the exeptional tho.

Writing discourse pt1:- If TASM1 is better than MOS? and if it is then why?

Both of the movies look pretty dark and at times gritty.

But while MOS seemingly ruined Supes reputation.

That same reaction is not there when it comes to Tasm Spidey.

Why? (Drop your ans in replies)

I was reading pre-"one more day" Spider-man comics which made me realise most Spidey fans are LARPERS

So i was reading Spider-Man comics that came before one more day. Which revealed the BIGGEST LARP.

-The most relatable aspect of Spidey is not his "poor/broke-ness" or "0-rizz" but instead his GROWTH.

He starts at high school, gets a high school crush (Betty Brant), dates her, loses her.

Then in college finds new friends (Harry,Gwen). New relationship, sudden death of close ones (Gwen).

Then one of his friends becomes a drug addict (Harry).

Then he moves on and finds a new woman(MJ).

Gets married. Move in with his wife.

"Almost" had kid so parenthood (blame writers)

Pete WAS relatable cuz he USED TO GROW like the readers

I was watching SM3 and holy nwh plot hole!!

Im taking bout that scene where harry realised his father died by his own hands. So he goes to save peter. The ELEPHANT in the room is..

The goblin serum doesn’t create an alternate personality, just adds inner voices. (Like that avenge me scene)

The same happens in SM 1 where Noman hears voices (power beyond ur wildest dreams)

The diff is Norman chose to listen to those voices. While harry Didn't.

So, wtf was nwh doing with Goblin?

What happened to Spider-man's iconic roster?

Is it just me or Spider-man's iconic roster keeps getting removed from Spider-man stories?

Like in BND there are still no Harry and Gwen, let's forget Harry and Gwen, there are also no JJJ, Bretty Brant, Robbie Robertson or other Daily Bugle casts.

Even in YFNSM, there are Nico, Pearl and Lonnie in peter high school? Also no Gwen, JJJ or daily bugle either.

In Spider-noir there are no Gwen,MJ or Harry or even Aunt-May

What happened exactly! ?

Why doesn’t Superman movies makes as much as Spider-man movies?

I mean the most grossing Spider-man movie made 3 billion while the most grossing superman movie made 600+ million

Unbiased 'SM:BND' review - "Mystery Villain concept su*cks!!!"

>!So the movie's main plot is Jean Gray trying to rescue her sister Sara Gray from DOD but Spider-Man gets in the way. !<

>!Now, before the final act they show a flashback of Sara and Jean to try to make us sympathise with her.!<

>!The problem however since she was a mystery villain, we saw her atrocities before her reasoning aka Effect before cause. Which made it impossible to sympathise with her.!<

Now comparing that to Destin Daniel Cretin's other work, Shang-Chi writes the villain very well.

We saw Mandarin using 10 rings to commit evil, falling in love, leaving his bad ways at the start of the movie.

In middle, we found out that his wife was killed, which made him evil again.

In the end, he sacrificed himself for his son.

Mandarin>BND villain (in terms of writtng)

The direction they took for SM's character is good tho
