Hello im 24M from Zimbabwe. I have a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a year of experience in Procurement. Im looking for work in Tanzania. The reason why I have chosen Tanzania is because my country has poor employment chances especially for fresh graduates. South Africa is an option but government is tightening foreigner employment. Botswana seems like a good option especially in Mining not sure about the chances of getting a job.

I don't plan to stay in Tanzania forever, I just need a little push at an engineering company. How favourable is Tanzania as an option please be honest. The last post I made had few engagement.

So a friend of mine installed my starlink mini kit. It was on Roaming in Haiti (pretty slow speeds). It has now reached the end of the roaming period and need to be "taken back to Haiti" for it to continue working. So the 120days passed and we can transfer the account now.

I transferred the kit and put it under a new email. When I tried to subscribe to a priority plan it doesn't show the option. Does Zimbabwe not have any capacity even for business plans? Whats the way forward. Thinking of selling the damn thing and go back to telone fiber.

As the title says im wasting my life. Im 24 and completed my degree and hoped i get a job. Even though i got crazy high marks and did extra curriculars and volunteered for stuff. Even became committee member of certain clubs.

My resume is perfect for entry level engineering roles but I cant get 1 with over 500 applications the past year.

Here is the worst part, I have to work for my narcissistic self absorbed bully of a father who thinks i should be greatful to be at this company.

I had anxiety, depression and fatigue. Yes I have a roof over my head, yes I get food, and the pay is peanuts but i can afford to go out BUT BIG BUT...

I didn't work for any of this, its not mine. I dont deserve it and i dont want it. I would rather have peace of mind than be bullied 24/7 for silly mistakes and just my behaviour. Constant criticism from Mr perfect, man prolly thinks hes a God on earth. Everything is says is truth to him, we (his family) are the inferior family holding him back.

To little money to move out. Live in a country where living on your own is near impossible cuz of poverty. People are 30 with their parents here.

I dont like spending money on overpriced food. If I go out with someone and they offer to pay then suree. But deep down I wouldnt spend 30usd on a plate of food. Im a guy btw.

Now the issue is people (especially those you are dating might think youre broke or stingy). And obviously you cant explain yourself out of that situation lol.

But when it comes to things I like, I can spend. For example: outdoor activities like ATVs, jetskis etc etc... things that get the blood flowing, im prepared to fork out 30us. Or maybe drinks, I dont have a ceiling on the amount id spend on alcohol. As long as its reasonable in my mind.

So get this I went on a date a few weeks back, I told my date she should contribute to the bill (cause its food), and she did. I had ordered a cocktail and she had a mocktail. Later on, after eating, the waitress offered that she should try a cocktail, which i was willing to pay for. Heck Id pay for 3more. But she doesn't like alcohol, so she refused. We haven't talked much since then, so I sometimes wonder if its because she thinks im cheap.

Could it be? Nahhh !!! Miss me with that.... I genuinely think a $1 burger tastes just as good as the $25 one at a restaurant (with exceptions). Any other guys with similar thoughts or its just me.

This really inconveniences me because most date ideas are restaurants. Especially in Zimbabwe where theres not much to do.

How do y'all do it?

Is it a friendship type of thing where you are good friends and you have times where you invite them to bars or outings.

Are they your exs? Cause if you just invite your ex girls makes sense that they come with less effort.

Just turned 24. Recently came back from Uni. Wondering whats a good age to move out as a male.

Just turned 24, no car, no girl, no house, just a degree, 8months work experience and a iPhone 13.

Feels weird. I dont feel like a failure but at the same time I feel as if time just flew by. Most people have their own families at this age, not that I want that. But feels like a different type of empty yk?
