New Crushed Pepper Blend

Finally have some crushed pepper again. Last year, after giving away too much, I ended up shorting myself enough to make it until this years harvest, so I've been missing it for around 4 mos.

I just finished this jar of the new blend today and I'm eating it on my spaghetti as I type this and damn it's good. Im in love with the kick it gives anything I put it on.

**The Blend:**

Aji Limón,

Fresno,

Cayenne,

Datil,

Thai Dragon

And I'm not giving any away this year.. I have committed to some hot pepper vinegar for a few family members, but no dry spice. Its mine ..all mine. Jk

This is unacceptable. Just...wow.

I was asking Gemini to help me find out some information about a murder that happened in NY, but I had very little to go on.

All I know is three guys were hanging out, two of the guys were body builders and the third guy attacked them with a bat because they allegedly drugged him to take advantage him. (According to him)

Gemini proceeds to invent a bs story because it couldn't find anything related to the story I was seeking information about. It made up a detailed story with fake names court cases all that.

I only found out because I asked him how old the murder suspect (Lou) Xia was and he then responds that there is no Lou Xia.

Check out the attached conversation between us. I am completely floored that it would feed me a bs story when I was seeking factual information. Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else?

Sure I'm tired of hearing "You're completely right to call me out on that" multiples times per day as I correct it from giving incorrect info. (And as you all know it's basic stuff that should be easy for an Ai to give a definitively correct answer) But this is a first for me and it crossed the line imo.

Let me know if you have a similar story or tell me how you feel about this.

The Payoff

It's nice when all of our hard work starts to pay off. This is every other day now. Time to bust out the jars and the dehydrator.(More work that will lead to more payoff) 😆

Cornrows (hair) near Gainesville?

Can anybody point me in the direction of someone who can do some cornrows near Gainesville? I'm in Melrose but I don't mind traveling up to an hour.

It will be my first time getting cornrows. I'm getting older now (40s), and should do it soon while I still have hair on the dome. 😂 🌽🌽🌽🌽

94° but "Feels like" 107°

Feel free to share this with anyone that needs help understanding why Florida feels just as hot, if not hotter than most other places known for high temps.

This is my current temp & "feels like." And for reference I am in North FL near Gainesville.

And as you all know, it's mid-june and we'll be continually heating up for through the beginning of August, but miserable through late August with extra humidity.

I feel like we're in for an extra crispy summer.

Remember to drink lots of fluids.. it's Hydrate or Die-drate.

This offense is going to be a NIGHTMARE

I'm getting really hyped on what's to come for the Jaguars offense this year. I'm not sure what kind of leaps our defense will take this year, but I'm confident that our offense is going to be a nightmare for every defense we square up with.

These guys aren't rookies or first-year starters anymore. Trevor Lawrence is coming off of his best season. One that he consistently performed at a high level every game and showed elite ability several times in the back half of the season.

Our receiver room is just nasty. Brian Thomas Jr. looks ready to take another step, and I think that's exactly what we're going to see him do.

Jakobi Myers was a gift from God, and he's still on our team. Enough said.

A healthy Travis Hunter shaking things up every now and then carries a threatening weight by himself, but is really going to open up more opportunities for big plays from from our offense in general.

Brenton Strange just needs to keep Brenton Stranging.

And I'm glad that this player was able to showcase his elite abilities consistently. You know we're going to be seeing a lot of this guy this year ..our very own ...Parker Washington.

With the addition of Pregnon and Nate Boerkircher, there will be some serious blocking and holes opening up for Bhayshul Tuten. And with him taking on the lead role as starting RB, he will finally be able to showcase his elite speed and explosiveness a lot more often.

Edit: For those that don't know...Bhayshul Tuten ran an official 4.32-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. This time made him the fastest running back at the combine and ranks among the fastest 40-yard dash times by a running back in NFL history.

What excites me just as much, if not more, is the coaching staff. Last year at this time these guys were building the program, installing schemes, and figuring out what works. And we saw what kind of season they put together when they were still "figuring things out."

Now everyone has a full season under their belt and can spend more time refining things instead of all the tedious things that come with building a system from scratch. There will be a lot more chemistry between the coaches and players, and within the players themselves with the extra time they'll have getting in reps and more one-on-one interactions.

It won't be much longer and we'll have our "good mood" Sundays and Mondays back, and I can't wait to watch these guys eat.

Pepper I.D.

When I transplanted my seedlings a couple months ago, I lost track of what was what for some of them. No big deal because I'm either very familiar with types I'm growing, and the ones I'm growing for the first time will be obvious when everything starts to fruit. And thats mostly true. It's easy to tell what all of them except what are supposed to be Fresno's. I've got three different looking peppers growing on what I thought were Fresno, but it's my first time growing Fresno so I'm not exactly sure which ones are the "correct" Fresno.

Also, I grew these from seed I picked up at Ace Hardware. (Lake Valley seed co. I think)

I numbered the images for reference. I think 1 & 2 look closest to the image on the Fresno seed pack.(Though for some reason #2 peppers are very bulbous and don't seem to be getting any bigger. #1 peppers never looked like this as theyve had somewhat of an elongated shape from the beginning. And then #3 & #4 both look different from each other and neither looking like #1 or #2. #3 almost looks like a Jalapeno Serrano cross and #4 looks like a cross between #1 & #3.

All out of the same Fresno seed pack.

Also, I tasted #3 & #4.

#3 - zero heat

#4 - seems remarkably spicy for being pre mature. Something reminiscent of an unripe orange habenero that's still light green on the plant.

Anyone have an idea of what's going on here?

Seeking advice

I've been hunting artifacts for about 5 years now but I still consider myself a novice as I have only found a few points. All of my finds have come from very shallow creeks here in North Central FL/Gainesville area, so walking/digging in creeks is the only method of hunting that I know.

I want to learn other methods so that I'm not limited to creeks only around here bc I'm pretty sure my property and surrounding properties should be good hunting of I knew how to approach them.

In 2014, just a 1/2 mile from my house, a dugout canoe was found in a lake bed when the lake was drying up in a drought. I only live about 15 miles from Newnans Lake in Gainesville. (Just mentioning this bc it should give a better idea of my location. Newnans Lake area was a major hub for Native American activity and commerce for thousands of years.)

So here in FL were in a major drought and the lake I live on is about 2 weeks away from being bone dry. I have been walking the lake bed shoreline looking but haven't had any luck. There were a lot of lily pads in my lake so there's a lot of dried up muck that needs to clear before I can get a good view of the sandy beach.

So I have included a screenshot of my property and my lake as well as its relation to the lake that the dugout canoe was found in a half mile away from me and I was wondering if maybe some more experienced hunters could take a look at it and give me any advice on where I could maybe start hunting. And I'm open too whatever kind of hunting if I need to dig holes and scrape walls then that's what I need to do just looking for any advice as to where to start doing stuff like that. Anyways thanks for the help in advance.

Cardinals

Cardinals doing their cardinal things.

Funny how the female keeps picking up small rocks then spitting them out. I'm assuming she's checking to see if they're edible but idk.

First time grower of Shishito peppers. Looks like it's going to be a heavy producer.

Is that typical of Shishitos?

I'm trying to show the amount of flowers that are on a single plant but it's hard to get all the flowers in the image. But if I had to guess I'd say there's probably 25 to 30 flowers and and a handful of peppers that are already a couple inches long.

All they're only a foot tall.

I know this era of bottles aren't the oldest or the coolest of finds, but I really like the character that they had. The numerous unique bottle designs and the seemingly endless brand names of cola/soda back then is intriguing.

(I did post this on my FB bottle group as well so if you're in that group and seeing this twice, my apologies)
