[NWA] [RAYMOND WEIL] [WATCH SHOT] My first ⌚️watch from this watchmaker.

I'm kind of Black & Grey stealthy watch guy; this fits well into my tool watch collection with Tag and Tissot.

As part of the collection, I recently picked up a Raymond Weil Freelancer automatic Ref # 2760-SB1-20001.

Absolutely stunning black dial, ceramic bezel with black PVD coating; it's hard to capture in photos how amazing this dial looks in person. The dial measures 42.5mm.

What's your RW watch and its story? Do share, and Cheers to life 😁🤙🍻🍻🍻

[DISCUSSION] [DWC] My thoughts on Delhi Watch Company's latest generation updated diver The Havelock (9039) ⌚.

DWC HAVELOCK (9039)

DWC HAVELOCK (9039)

Hey r/Watches!

The thoughts on the New Gen DWC Havelock upgraded with the Miyota 9039 from the Delhi Watch Company. Booked one; it's about to be shipped.

Not a desk-diver in spirit by design, But for me mostly it is occasional pool time and beach dips, which was the case of my previous generation Havelock.

Watch Specs:

- Movement: Miyota 9039 automatic, which is a significant upgrade with No "Ghost" date position, slim profile, a Hi Beat 4 Hz over the previous generations Havelocks with TMI NH35A with ghost dates, a Low Beat rate at 3 Hz, and a fatter 5.3 mm tick.

- Case: 316L stainless steel, 38mm diameter, 11.9mm height, 20mm lug width.

- Crystal: Sapphire.

- Bezel: 120-click unidirectional sapphire bezel instead of the aluminum, Hope the clicks are crisp and not as tight as with early gen.

- Water Resistance: 20 ATM (200m).

- Lume: BGW9 Superluminova on hands and dial, which is good even in the previous generation.

- Dial: Swiss Berlac enamel-coated (gradient aqua) with BGW9 Superluminova: of all, I have opted for the Gradient Aqua blue. it's a lovely upgrade to have a new dial color and sapphire bezel from the previous generation. (more Pantone color options will be nicer.)

- Strap: Silicone or solid link SS bracelet.

- Warranty: 1 year on movement.

- Price: ₹14,999 ($150) for Silicone & ₹15,999 ($160) with a bracelet.

Compared to my previous generation, which was tall on the wrist due to TMI moments and many other things like case design and case height at 13.3 mm, the new generation is at 11.9 mm. So a reduction in case height of 1.4 mm is very significant; it will not be top-heavy on the wrist and will sit better with better ergonomics.

Hopefully there won't be small QC issues, of which there are not many, but they do play spoilers now and then with DWC watches, as recently a fellow watch lover has shared an alignment issue with the engineered clasp of his DWC Sierra, but fortunately I did see it with my watch, also a DWC Sierra. DWC does maintain a good rapport with its user base with ready responses and resolutions to any kind of issues.

So New Generation DWC HAVELOCK has a Pretty solid spec sheet for this price point, and their use of the Miyota 9039 and sapphire bezel gives excellent "VFM" and justifies the price bump of ₹4,000-₹5,000 ($40-60), But the overall experience can only be shared once it reaches my wrist, so fingers crossed.

Will soon be back with the actual watch shots and update. 😊 Cheers. 🍻
