Country of origin

I know everything is getting more expensive, but do y'all consider the country of origin as part of heritage? I feel

Japanese products tend to be superior in manufacturing. USA can be a hit or miss. Do y'all think clothing made in India ndia, China or Vietnam should cost the same as those countries tend to have a lower cost of living and lack of the same or it was safety standards.

Welder

I have 8 years of welding experience on a shipyard. What are the chances of welding and fixing pipe or bulkheads. I currently make 90k a year I am okay going down to e-1 pay.
