Itchy after sex! Please help :(

Everytime I have penetrative sex with my boyfriend I get extremely itchy hours after. The itching lasts for 2 days and then goes away. Mostly the surrounding area but on vulva too.

Some background , I’m pretty new to having penetrative sex due to vaginismus that I finally was able to improve after consistent dilator use at home. There is still a small amount of pain during sex but overall it has improved significantly. I never saw a pelvic floor therapist.

I can’t figure out this itching and it’s depressing me !

  • We both tested for STDS, all negative
  • I tested for bacterial infections , all negative
  • I was treated for a yeast infection already when I went to gyno for this.
  • We use condoms everytime and they are non latex (tried different brands)
  • I’m using the same lube I used when I dilated alone so no allergy to the lube
  • There is no pain after , only itching
  • We’ve done intercrual sex in the past (with same condoms and lube ) and I never got itchy. So I don’t think my partner’s soap or anything on his body is making me itchy.

Basically it seems like it’s just the act of penetration that makes me itchy. Is this a sign of nerve issue or some kind of pH imbalance?

I have vaginismus but I just learned about vulvodynia today. Does this sound like what I could be experiencing? I would appreciate some help so much 🥺❤️

Has anyone with vaginismus or not experienced this issue? What could be the possible cause? I would appreciate some help so much 🥺❤️
