For me, in terms of vibe, setting and tune selection, here are my favourite sets from this years houghton:

1. Facta and K-Lone at the Armadillo -> selection was wonderful, accompanied by a beautiful vibe at the armadillo stage (honourable mention: their previous set at Earthling, crowd was seriously enjoying it)

2. Vlada at Outburst - especially unique selection at a great stage - dark, ominous selection that was easy to dance to.

3. Luke Una at stallions - wow, euphoria like never before - grooviest of tunes amongst a brilliant crowd.

4. Channel one at pavilion - nothing like some dub and reggae at one my favourite stages at houghton, vibes were off the charts, especially with the mc in the crowd wowowowow.

5. simo cell at warehouse - maximum experimentation and maximum epicness, one for the books - he also had this sick voice based tool he could play drums with or blow into to create unique sounds????

P.S. litter was tapped this year, i believe we all need to be seriously better - this kind of attitude then translates into the real world where waste is already an existential issue.

Not sure what everyone else’s experiences was for this set but this is what I experienced.
Arrived for the start of the set and could already feel the ostentatious aura of the crowd - people shushing when it wasn’t even that loud. Next up, you look around and loads of people monging the fuck out, instantly putting me off. I appreciate that she would have built up the set over time, but this just didn’t feel right. I also respected her instagram post that explored chatting in the crowd which I agreed with. End up leaving 10 minutes in due to such a perplexing vibe. Headed to pavilion for some serious vibes. Job done
