Title: Acer Swift Go 14 (New) vs Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (Second-hand) — Which should I buy?

Iam a CSIT student in Nepal looking for a laptop that can last me 5–6 years.

I'm comparing these two options:

- Acer Swift Go 14 (Brand-new): Core Ultra 5 125H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 14-inch 2.8K OLED 90Hz display — around NPR 110k–118k.

- Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (Second-hand): Core 5 210H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 16-inch display — around NPR 115k.

I like the Lenovo's larger screen and design, but the Acer's OLED display looks amazing. Since the Lenovo is second-hand and the Acer is brand-new, I'm unsure which is the better choice for long-term use.

Which would you recommend for programming, battery life, build quality, and reliability over the next 5–6 years? Is the Acer worth choosing even though the Lenovo has a larger screen?

My budget is around NPR 100k, so I'd also appreciate advice on whether either laptop is worth buying at these prices or whether I should negotiate further.

Thanks!

Is Divya Gyan College actually good for BSc CSIT?

I am considering joining Divya Gyan College/KITM for BSc CSIT, but I am not sure about the actual experience there.

The college has mentioned various training programs, practical sessions, and skill-development opportunities. I want to know how much of this actually happens in practice and whether the training is genuinely useful or mostly marketing.

Any seniors...

How valuable is an RJU degree in the real job market?

I am considering doing BSc CSIT from a college affiliated with RJU but I am still unsure about how much value the degree actually has outside the college.

I am mainly interested in honest experiences. Please share both the positives and negatives.

FWU vs RJU for BSc CSIT — Need Advice

I am planning to study BSc CSIT, but I didn’t get a good enough rank for the TU colleges I was targeting. I am now considering doing CSIT through Far Western University (FWU) or Rajarshi Janak University (RJU), through their affiliated private colleges in ktm. Want to get advice from seniors.

Need advice on RJU/FWU affiliated private colleges for BSc CSIT alternatives

I didn't get a good enough rank in the TU BSc CSIT entrance to get a good government/private college, so I'm considering Rajarshi Janak University (RJU) or Far Western University (FWU) affiliated private colleges in Kathmandu.

I'm mainly interested in software development and cybersecurity, so I'm looking for a college that provides good practical exposure, internships, and industry opportunities—not just theoretical study. I'd like to know whether choosing an RJU/FWU-affiliated college is a reasonable alternative to TU BSc CSIT, especially for future jobs and higher studies.
