Im tired man
I work in a fab shop yard as a general laborer in canada. I'm 22 and save all my money, i make $23 an hour and i dont really have any bills currently. Im in a really lucky position but im worried for my future. Im a highschool dropout with a year of experience at this place, and i take public transport everyday. Getting my full license in november and i'm looking to buy a car asap.
Heres my thing man. I see people drive BMWs with purple headlights and roaring v8's. Majority of the houses in my area are beautiful, and i generally just wonder to myself what these guys do that allow them to live so luxurious. Skidoos, beautiful trucks, happy children. Surely not everybody is educated on real estate or stocks, so how does one move up in the world? Is it years of being an electrician? Sales? I feel stressed out at this age. Feels like you get thrown in the world, told "find a good career" but you arent exactly told what a good career is, there isnt "one size fits all" when it comes to salaries and jobs, it always looks like people are in the right place at the right time or have connections, or a degree in something so niche. Any others in their early 20s feeling a bit scrambled?
