I could not clear JEE this year so I am exploring private colleges for BTech admissions.

I am mainly interested in AI-related fields, but I'm confused between:

AI & Machine Learning (AI & ML)

AI & Data Science (AI & DS)

Which one has better career opportunities and flexibility in the future? I'm interested in both placements and higher studies, so I'd like to understand the practical difference.

I am also comparing a few colleges and would appreciate honest feedback from students or alumni. Some options I'm looking at are:

UPES

KL University

DY Patil University (IST)

Bennett University

CU Unnao

I am not looking only at placement numbers. Things like teaching quality, internships, coding culture, industry exposure, and overall student experience matter to me as well.

I am currently in Class 12 and planning to pursue engineering next year. After doing some research, I've shortlisted DY Patil University, MIT-WPU, and Vishwakarma University in Pune.

I'm interested in Computer Science/AI-related programs and want a college that offers good placements, internships, industry exposure, and an overall good learning environment.

Online reviews are quite mixed, so I'm finding it difficult to decide. If anyone is currently studying in these colleges or has friends there, could you share your experience?

Which one would you recommend and why?

I am looking to buy a new laptop with a budget of ₹25,000–₹30,000.

My usage is limited to Microsoft Office, web browsing, emails, YouTube, and occasional Zoom/Google Meet calls. I don't play games or do video editing.

I'm mainly looking for something reliable with decent battery life and performance that will remain usable for the next few years.

​

What models would you recommend in this budget range, and are there any processors or laptops I should avoid?
