Not sure where in Croatia?

Me and my friend are thinking of going to Croatia and Montenegro in August or September for a girls holiday, but we’re not sure which month would be better.

We’d like somewhere with beaches, nice views, good atmosphere, things to do at night, and ideally somewhere we can travel around locally as well as neither of us drives. Halal food options would also be helpful.

We’ve been looking at Zadar, Hvar, Vis, and Dubrovnik, but we’re not sure which would suit us best. We’d prefer somewhere that isn’t overly crowded and is still reasonably priced (or on the cheaper side if possible).

Open to any recommendations, tips, or advice. Thank you!

My old colleague/friend want me to lie for her

She left back in January because she didn’t think she was going to pass probation, so she resigned before that happened. Recently she got another job offer and asked me to be her reference. The issue is that she listed her employment dates as October–present even though she left months ago, and asked me to back that up.

I want to help her, but I’m worried about whether lying could come back on me professionally if the employer found out. Has anyone dealt with something similar?

Also want to add I think I'm the only colleague she was friendly with so she doesn't really have/want to go somewhere else. I don't think she liked her manger much either. We haven't really spoken till this so not sure.

I'm new to all this as this is my first job and I don't really have anyone to talk to about this but I looked at my payslip for this month and saw that I am paying £117 more this month than last month. I started in October and last month was the first time tax was taken out my pay. Is this normal? Should it change?
