these two weaknesses have been major jokes in the comics space & have often been retconned/reworked to "make sense" or just been mocked in universe but I genuinely feel they shouldn't because they are FANTASTIC ideas for weaknesses. let me explain

first thing first, at true power, the ring can DO ANYTHING. not create anything (or create a light construct of anything) but literally do anything, all you need is willpower, a charge and imagination. from intangibility/invisibility, time travel, healing/molecular reconstruction, teleporting, protection from literal reality erasure, duplication, energy clones, mind reading and so much more (p.s. this sheer power makes so much more sense once you realize the character is based off the ring & lamp genies from Aladdin). this is genuinely god like power.

So making this god like omnipotence weak to one of the most common of materials/a basic color is such a smart narrative move. basic godhood evened out by a common weakness (it's sorta like in war of the worlds, aliens with hyper advanced weaponry we can do nothing against being beaten by a common germ) it stops what would be considered a broken/deus ex superhero be more neutral since the weakness is common enough to stop the sheer power potential. additionally, it doesn't stop them completely, if you seriously cant tell me a single way to work around wood or yellow objects when fighting crime with a literal super magic ring, then I hate to tell you, I don't think you have a strong enough imagination to use the ring.

I’ve been trying for a while to reach gothos tower in rewind, and I assumed I needed to go through wooden pillar so I’ve been porting to everrain for a while to try and get that but I’ve been returning with only mugics and such. so I was wondering if there’s an alternate/better route to reach gothos or is this the only real path?
