Anyone have any tips to temporarily revive this POS Quantum Drive?

This drive booted perfectly with no issue a few weeks ago and suddenly its dead. It spins up, clicks, spins down, and then the green LED flashes. Not detected in the BIOS anymore either. I know these Bigfoot drives were crap even when new, but if anyone knows how to temporarily revive it to backup the data I would really appreciate it.

Does anyone have an original OEM HP Windows 98 Install?

Hello everyone, I need help.

I have an HP Pavilion 6350 that's hard drive just crapped out. Does anyone have another Pavilion with the original OEM Windows 98 install? It seems this version is from early 1998 and is pretty rare. If anyone has an early 1998 install I would really appreciate if you could make an image of the drive, or send me some of the software files that I need.

Thanks in advance.

What is this odd brown stuff in my power supply?

Was quite nervous at first because it looked like some kind of wasps nest, but it's hard as a rock and appears to be factory? Any idea what it is?

Air conditioning not working on older Rheem R-22 System, odd symptoms - Need advice

Trying to diagnose our AC system that quit working last week. Unit is blowing warm air. The compressor will run for a while and then shut off leaving only the fan motor running. Compressor will not come back on until the unit stays off for a while. Here's a list of things that have been done to the unit recently:

- Run capacitor and Contactor have been replaced

-Air filter is clean

- Coils on the outdoor unit have been cleaned.

Suspecting it's low on charge, but could it also be a bad expansion valve? How do I tell the difference?

About a month ago, several times the refrigerant lines were iced up inside and outside which followed a strange sound in the furnace.

Now that the unit is not cooling the lines are lukewarm.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Throwback to the short lived blue & silver era of Dell laptops (2003-2005)

Not worth a whole lot of money now, but you have to admit they look cool.

This is super disappointing.............Any advice?

Finally got an HP Pavilion M50 monitor that I've wanted since I was a kid....and it doesn't work. When I first plugged it in, the monitor came on by itself for a second and then shut off. Now it doesn't turn on at all. No power light or anything. I can hear a faint constant clicking noise coming from the back of the unit. I'm guessing it's cooked but does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it?

Thanks in advance.
