Why were there British Prisoners at Cabantuan prison camp?

On January 30th of 1945, about 133 American Rangers and Alamo Scouts with the support of 250-280 Filipino Guerillas and 1 Night Fighter liberated 500-512 prisoners from Cabantuan prison camp. Among the non-American prisoners were 23 British prisoners (20 army, 2 navy, & 1 civilian).

Where were these prisoners from (like from Burma) and how did they ended up here at Cabantuan with American prisoners from Bataan and Corregidor?

According to RWS Lore, when did both Bertie and Algy arrive on Sodor?

I think Bertie arrived on 1952 based on the book where he had his first race with Thomas.

As for Algy, I am not sure about.

Echo, an ARC Trooper, in a Clone Commando Squad.

Echo with his squad

I was wondering if Echo would still have been an ARC Trooper even though he is in a Clone Commando squad.

Funny enough, in early concept art for the Bad Batch show, Echo was shown wearing more ARC Trooper gear:

See Echo to the right.

In the Legends timeline, ARC Troopers of different types and Clone Commandos kinda had an interesting relationship.

Boss with an Null-Class

To be honest, it would have been nice to see ARC Troopers in the series and how they think of the Commandos.

A deputy squad leader of the 800 Heroes where the NRA elite troops held off the entire Japanese forces during the 1937 Battle of Shanghai. The explosion would kill several enemy soldiers that were witnessed by many including the Morris family.

You think being an engine on exhibit in the Thomas universe is a fate just as bad if not worse than no being very useful anymore or getting scrapped even?

And god don’t even get me started on that one locomotive In the UK that got cut in half to show off how it worked

This is B&M #410 in exhibit in Lowell, Massachusetts BTW, I took the photo myself

Back in 1937, Willie and his family witness this event where a Chinese NRA battalion held off the Japanese forces.

I like to imagine that Johnny meets a young Chinese soldier that will affect him later in life. This event might inspired my Willie to fight in Burma to help the Chinese out.

What do you think?

Character Bio #91 - The Prison NCO

This Japanese NCO works in Burma where he oversees the conditions of Allied prisoners of war. Similar to Amon Goeth, this individual is ruthless to and looks down on everyone, even fellow allies. One prisoners he hates the most is Willie Morris to the point that he would issue him ship to Japan out of spite. Had Willie not been rescued during the Cabanatuan prison raid, he would have died in captivity and repeating the cycle again.

My version of Willie Morris marries Bettina Bass somewhere in 1925. It was here where he has a vision of LBSC No 106 aka Thomas. It was on the same day he got his very own branch line.

Character Bio #90 - William Edgar “Bill” Nellist Jr.

Age: 27

Relationship Status: Unknown

Family: Mr. & Mrs. Nellist (Parents)

Language: American English

Nationality: American

Profession: Commissioned Officer

Unit: Alamo Scouts (U.S. 6th Army Special Reconnaissance Unit)

Allegiance: His men and the United States of America

Rank: 1st Lieutenant

Prior to the raid, he and Thomas J. Rounsaville led their team to observe what was occurring at the Cabanatuan Prison Camp. It was their recon ahead of the main rescue forces that the prisoners would be rescued with few Allied causalities. Among the 23 British prisoners was a man named Willie Morris, who wonders if Sodor is indeed real.

Fun Fact:

  • Played by Jeremy Callaghan who played a fictionalized stand-in named Able. This is from the 2005 movie, The Great Raid.

I think my Thomas should be LBSC No 106.

The video's creator suggested that Thomas is E2 No 106 because he never pulled a goods train. This is because upon being built on September 30th, 1915, the engine and his crew had to escape from a Zepplin attack and wind up on Sodor.

I wonder if that saved Thomas from the actual engine's fate or the LBSC built a replacement.

How often were Frogskin Camo worn on both Okinawa and Iwo Jima?

I seen very few photos of both American Marines wearing the Frog Skin camouflage during the Volcano and Ryukyu Islands campaign. However I believe they tend to be worn by rear-line troops like artillerymen.

The reason I brought this up is because a character from Call of Duty World At War for some reason continues to wear a frog skin jacket despite the others reverting to solid green uniforms. Yes the game is focus on entertainment over education but it also bothers me a bit. Is it possibly for a few frontline troops to wear any frogskin by 1945? If not, what are the reasons the camouflage was not used widely?
