I just ordered my very first macbook ever. I got the M5 with 16 gb RAM and 1 tb. I was hoping to get it sooner, but all the stores were sold out in my area. Unfortunately its estimated delivery date is really close to my school start date.
I’m a lifelong windows user so I was hoping for tips on how to get used it the switch and how to optimize it for school? TIA :-)
I’m in between the two storage options, is the 512 gb enough? I do play a few AAA games and plan on using my MBA for light gaming. My use case is primarily for grad school. I got through undergrad with a 256 gb surface 2 laptop so I feel like 512 will be more than enough, but it seems like MacOS takes up a good portion of the storage.
edit: I’m in Canada so the price difference is $500 (and the new education savings is just a gift card)
I use the brow gel in clear and love it, has anyone switched over to the new tinted versions?
I’m considering it but I also can’t tell if the soft black would be too intense still. My natural hair is black but my eyebrows appear more gray-ish?
I use ash brown in the nyx micro pencil to fill in so I’m considering cool brown? or soft black?
I’m really tempted to get the marc jacob’s because I heard the old version was a lot of people’s holy grails, but it’s currently only available online so there’s no way to swatch before I buy. Has anyone tried it yet? I’ve also heard a lot of recommendations for the urban decay! Anyone try both and have any thoughts?
edit: UPDATE I went into store and swatched all the suggestions I could find on the back of my hand. I ended up with a mac one surprisingly! MUFE was tied but I ultimately went with mac because it’s retractable and MUFE needed a sharpener!
I use the retinol serum that’s on the right, I believe it’s 0.1%, and I really like it but when I went into Sephora the other day it seemed that they’re discontinuing this product! Any good retinols that aren’t too expensive?
Edit: It looks like they’re replacing these two products with a new “beginner” and “advanced” retinol serum, but idk how I feel about the significant price markup/shrinkflation that comes with it.
