I looked up the “Jehovah will heal you” billboard leaving Lambert and… wow.

I saw that giant “Jehovah Will Heal You” billboard leaving Lambert for the first time and immediately had to look it up because seeing a man holding a pile of crutches leaving the airport feels like the start of a fever dream.

Apparently it’s David E. Taylor, a preacher who says he has face to face encounters with Jesus and runs a healing ministry focused on miracle cures and prophetic stuff. Then I found out the ministry was based around the STL area for years, owned properties out in west county, and even bought Nelly’s old mansion at one point. Then the rabbit hole got even weirder with all the controversy and recent federal charges tied to the organization.

Meanwhile I spent the entire Uber ride home giving the driver updates like “wait, it gets worse” and I’m pretty sure he now thinks he accidentally picked up someone in the middle of a true crime awakening.

I really thought it was just a random weird billboard.

t.A.T.u was the groundbreaking duo from Russia who had the song “All the Things She Said”. Created a lot of controversy, but also brought up conversations around homosexuality at the time.

Later, it was learned that their manager forced them to pretend to be gay for the engagement.
