Does anyone have unexplained or known illnesses from DV?
My abusive bipolar alcoholic ex who blackmailed me for 2 years into staying with him, would strangle me multiple times a month during that period. He abused me physically in other ways, like pushing me, grabbing my wrists until they were so red and painful. He also would grab my hands and threaten to break my fingers. When he wasn’t physically abusing me- he was verbally and emotionally abusing me. I felt like I had no way out. I almost attempted to end my life because I couldn’t take it anymore.
One night, I finally had enough after he strangled me then put me in a chokehold and I lost consciousness for a few seconds. I fought back. We were both arrested. I had the higher bond because he was bleeding. It’s sadistic but he had a way of strangling me enough to not leave any marks.
Anyway, I started having vertigo around that time. Never had it before. Thankfully it went away a few months later, but then it came back earlier this year. Went away, but that’s when my headaches started. They’re not migraines. They’re a dull forehead pain that won’t go away. I’ve had normal CT & MRI’s but I am still dealing with this. I also had my vision checked to make sure it wasn’t that. I am still getting these headaches. I have the care of multiple doctors helping me, but I am still dealing with all this physically and mentally. Any advice?
