Where are my Forza Horizon 6 players?

Got early access to Forza Horizon 6 and let me tell you, this game is BEAUTIFUL. The 2022 BRZ in game has all the STi aero parts including the STi wing or lip spoiler. Gave mine the Series.Yellow paint to match the one in my garage.

The photo mode in this game is absolutely wild.

Round 2 of Mods

Alright, it's been a couple weeks and I've tossed a few more little things on the car and made a couple small tweeks. There were enough upvotes last time I thought I would share again in case anyone is looking for something.

Round 1 can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BRZ\_ZD8/s/GKFLl6H02F

1. Unplugged the fake sound generator

This is a 10/10 mod that I love. I respect that some folks enjoy the fake sound - and that's fine. But if you're like me and you don't enjoy it, check out a quick YouTube video on how to unplug it. It was super easy!

2. Adjusted the clutch bite point

I made a whole post about this alone and there are a lot of people with a very strong opinion about it. But I wanted the bite point to be closer to the floor so I followed one of the many YouTube tutorials on doing so and moved it just a little closer to the floor. Without overdoing it there should be no long term damage to any parts in the clutch system. This allows a much quicker shift and a more enjoyable ride for me personally.

3. Perrin Performance Strut Brace and Engine Cover

Even though my Series.Yellow comes with the Hitachi dampers, I wanted to add something else to stiffen up that front end (for the 0 track time this car will have). I went with Perrin as they happen to be headquartered in my hometown. The Perrin strut brace is so low it requires you to remove the OEM engine cover and they suggest you use their custom one (obviously, right?) So I did. I've only had it on for a day, and likely only felt a placebo effect so far but taking a 90 degree moderate curve at 50 MPH+ that I've taken several times before the front end did feel much more balanced. This also made me buy a torque wrench finally... so that opens up a world of future opportunities...

4. Driven.Media LED Upgrade Kit

Why this wasn't OEM, I don't know. Absolutely love this. The reverse lights are crazy bright which makes them finally useful! All of the other lights are just a general upgrade over the stock halogen ones.

5. Driven.Media Interior Liner Kit

This one is interesting. Definitely not a must have but I like it. They fit perfectly into the cup holders, and the other little pockets in the car that will keep them protected from spills and make it easier to clean.

Up next is hopefully the AWE Touring exhaust, some engine bay dress up from Perrin, Enkei TS7s, the GR intake and many more tiny little tasteful upgrades.

At the Portland Cars and Coffee

My first time going to the Portland Cars and Coffee meet and I find a first gen Series.Yellow yellow! I was so excited. Owner just got it with about 50K miles and said was owned by an older guy who likely garage baby-ed it.

Couple of different red GR86s, a blue BRZ and FRS and a completely gutted green 86. Only seat in it was the driver's seat. There were other cars... But who cares 😂😂

If you haven't adjusted your clutch petal, what are you waiting for? (For the newbies like me)

I posted about my current mods a few days ago but I just got around to adjusting my clutch's bite point. This made a WORLD of difference, holy shit. I'm really not mechanically inclined, so when I saw I had to pull a pin, move some nuts and twist a bolt I was certain I would total the car or cause irreversible damage... I'm kind of a bitch that way.

It took me about 15 minutes to watch a video and then adjust the pedal to the exact place I want it to be (much closer to the floor rather than right at the end as you are releasing the pedal). I would highly encourage y'all to do it if you haven't already. Shifts and starting from a stop have improved so much. My wife no longer ricochets in the passenger seat. The physical pedal now sits almost in line with the brake pedal.

All you need is a 12mm and 14mm wrench (I'd recommend stubby ones, it's a little tight down there), along with some light and a YouTube video. I believe I did 2 or 2.5 full turns into the firewall on the clutch rod.

Edit: A good point from the comment, it is a do it at your own risk modification and make sure to be reasonable. Don't over do it and rotate the rod 10 times. You should make sure to shift through all the gears and listen for grinding to ensure the clutch fully engages and disengages. My 2 to 2.5 was plenty. If you're skeptical, consult the factory repair manual.

It's my 6 week anniversary of having this car and I wanted to share the small things I've added to the car and give my honest opinion in case anyone is interested. If you have any suggestions, let me know!

1. Billetworkz 500g weighted shift knob

I was not expecting this thing to have such a difference on my shifting. A weighted shift knob is a must, and the one I got from Billetworkz with the Japanese characters added a little personality to the car. Free shipping for veterans; just email them for the code.

2. Driven.Media Hood Struts

Another absolute must if you're doing your own work on the car or want to pretend you will (like me). These should've been on the car from the factory. Install took \~10 min.

3. STi Mudflaps

After the first week I had dirt flung up on the paint from the rear wheels, this is definitely protecting the paint. These do hang low and will scrape a lot (so will the non-STi ones from Subaru). Maybe look at off-brands to avoid the scraping.

4. Billetworkz Front Plate Delete

I wanted something to add a one-of-a-kind feeling to my car, so I did a front plate delete with the car's name on it. Solid metal from Billetworkz and it looks fantastic. Extremely customizable, a little pricey.

5. Driven.Media Clear Side Markers

One of the middle-tier price options for JDM style side markers. Worth the money, easy install.

6. Perrin License Plate Tow Hook Mount

My state requires a front plate and I wanted that custom plate delete... so I had to move it somewhere. This thing is solid.

7. Driven.Media F1 Style 3rd Brake Light Module

Having the trunklid brake light flash a few times when I apply the brakes actually works. I was a little surprised but I get some extra following distance on the way to a stop. It's plug and play right inside the trunklid under the liner.

8. Window Tint

It's tint. It's a must.

9. Unplug the fake sound module

There's dozens of videos out there on doing this, I did it just with 1 pry tool. You dont have to take the dash apart. Just pop off the 1 piece of plastic inside the passenger door on the side of the dash and you can use a screw driver or pry tool to reach the connector and pop it out.

Next? A set of Enkei TS7s in matte bronze to wrap in weather tires for the winter, catback, either the K&N or the GR intake, some engine bay cap replacements, pinch weld jack protectors, reverse/4th brake light replacement and a spoiler... Either the TRD ducktail in black or I'll go bankrupt and order the STi catalog wing.

I've just passed 1,000 miles and had the car for a little over a month now. For context, it's my first manual car but I'm not out here stalling it or grinding gears. I came from riding motorcycles so the concept of shifting already exists in my brain.

That said, 2nd into 3rd always feels like a fight. 1st to 2nd is rough when its cold but 2nd to 3rd always feels like it's just short of grinding before it bites. Clutch fully engaged, not jamming it up to 3rd but also not limp-wristing it. Just an even preasure to get it into gear and I can feel a bump/feedback in the shifter like it doesnt want to engage.

Has anyone else experienced an issue like this?

Thanks in advance 🙃

I asked in an earlier post if I should take her on a 220-ish mile trip before the break in was over and the overwhelming consensus was yes.

I found as many extra turns as I could to make the drive that much more exciting but even just the straight aways were so enjoyable I couldn't stop smiling. It helped that somehow we had a 70+ degree day with sun in April in Oregon. Even ran to the nearest store when I got to my hotel to get some glass cleaner and waterless wash to get all the bugs off (there were a lot).

This car has been nothing but endless enjoyment since day 1 and I've only had it for 34 days. Should be at about 1,040 miles when she gets home.
