How to make sure Lenovo legion doesn’t die fast

I’ve been getting ready to buy a gaming laptop and the Lenovo legion line has caught my eye, their portability along with its power is perfect for what I’m looking for. I’m specifically thinking about getting the 7i or 7 pro with 5070ti if it goes on sale.

But when I scroll down this sub, I see two things: people celebrating getting new laptops, or people reporting it broken after “months”. Which got me concerned, is there a way I can make sure my next laptop doesn’t meet its demise months after I open it up?

On the fence between G14 models

Budget: ($2,200)

Country: (USA)

Use case: (Mixed, for games maybe CS 2 and GTA V)

Preferred specs: (5070ti 12gb/ 32GB ram/ 1TB)

Notes:(I really want something that could last me a good 5-8 years)

I've had my eyes set on the ROG Zephyrus G14, specifically the new model with 32GB of ram, and the 5070ti (12gb vram). and even though I am willing to dish out the ~$2,000 for it on best buy, I'm wondering if I can maybe get an older model for a lot less, but then I would be sacrificing the vram since there is only one model with 12gb (the $2000 one). or maybe there is an entirely different laptop that has the same specs. If so then I would love to see what they are. Thanks!
