City comfort made me weak so I’m leaving and keeping things simple
I will go straight to the point.
Modern life is so loud, expensive, and fake comfortably, because you work more just to pay for the systems you barely control. Even electricity goes out and suddenly people do not know how to stay warm or cook food. That bothered me more than anything.
So I am stepping away.
I am looking for small land or someone already living off grid who wants another pair of hands. Nothing fancy. Cabin, shed, trailer, unfinished build, all fine. I can work. I fix things. I show up early. That matters more than perfect setup.
Last winter changed my thinking. Power outage for two days where I live. Everyone panicking. Stores empty in hours. Phones dying. Meanwhile an older neighbor pulled out two kerosene heaters and sat calm drinking tea. Warm house. No drama. Simple solution.
That moment stuck with me.
People argue solar vs generator vs batteries. Good discussions, but honestly most people overcomplicate survival. Heat, water, shelter. Start there. Everything else is extra.
I did look online for equipment before. Some cheap heater options popped up on Alibaba. Prices looked great. Some reviews said solid quality, others said fuel leaks after a season. That told me enough. Cheap gear can cost safety. No shortcuts when fire and fuel involved.
Here is what I want.
Quiet place. Honest work. Shared values. People serious about simple living, not aesthetic off grid Instagram life.

Simple life. Clear priorities. No excuses.
