I’m really passionate about rowing and love it more than anything else. One thing I find super fascinating about rowing, is the rowing blazers associated with the schools and clubs.
Does anyone know which clubs across the world have really prestigious blazers ? And which universities also have blazers for rowers?

Like back home run clubs are a very big thing and you meet heaps of people.
Like that what’s the scene in Vancouver?
I do rowing, know just a little bit of lacrosse and want to learn sailing in Vancouver? Also a really good pool player. Is there a big pub scene or not?
What are the best spots or clubs (rowing/sports/whatever) or venues in the city to meet new people?
I’m even ready to learn ice hockey 😭😂😭

I’m a rower and I’ve developed an interest in sailing now.
I want to learn but I’m only available around September or after that.
Does anyone know a good club to lend sailing and how long does it take to get through the course?

I wanted to ask if anyone has done the S&C program given at Bridge Athletics by Blake Gourley.
Any revenue of it. Also it has three phases resistance, strength and power.
Would you say one should follow it from the beginning or would be okay if one starts from strength phase and skips the 1st one.
Open to all suggestions. Or if you have other recommendations for S&C plans or for any resources which give the complete plan for rowing.

I want to get your opinion about whether rowers should trains on machines or just use free weights.
Like for me personally increasing my back squat has been hard so I was thinking of shifting to machine like leg press where I could load more.
Then also how important is unilateral or split stance work for rowing?
If you just want to two days a week for strength and conditioning, which exercises would you pick?
And does anyone know any coaches who could help me build my plan?

I’m really confused at the moment. I like Sydney a lot but USyd has been kinda disappointing especially from the social aspect.
I want to stranger out but I am confused about which of these would be worth it to actually leave USyd .

Like a lot of sports in the US universities award students with special Letterman Jackets which no one else can get and Oxford and Cambridge and other rowing clubs give the rowing blazers to their athletes.
Is that a thing in Canada as well? Like at UBC or Queens or UVic? Maybe McGill? And if anyone has suggestions for the US colleges where rowing is really respected, I’m all ears.

I'm planning of coming to UVic and I do rowing. I wanted to know if rowing is a respected sport at UVic.
How hard is it to get a walk on at UVic?
Also does the UVic rowing team get Rowing Blazers like almost all clubs get?
Also are UVic varsity athletes given any UVic lettermen jackets like many US schools give or not?

Can anyone tell me how hard is it to get on the rowing team at UBC, Queen’s and if anyone has any recommendations in the US. I’m not as elite on rowing to make it into the super elite programs but does anyone know any schools where I can apply?
