Watering untill runoff using organic feeds?

Is it necessary to water until runoff when in normal soil using organic feeds? Or is a little bit to prove its sufficiently saturated enough?

I see conflicting answers, not watering to runoff makes more sense to me in this situation.

What do you guys do? Don't shoot me im new here.

Using RO water?

Hi people who use RO water. Are there any benefits of using tap over RO and cal mag.

Would it be recommended if feasible to just use RO with calmag over tap water?

Just wondering if I should try get my tap water to acceptable levels using RO with Epsom or just try and use RO with calmag.

The RO calmag is possible for me in just need to stock up on RO a bit better, but I'm finding this may be easier than the way I'm doing it atm as it's a lot of hassle getting the tap to acceptable limits?

Can I calculate pure calcium from water readings?

Appoligies if I am talking absolute nonsense or I have come to the wrong place.

Please correct me if you have the time and patience.

Am i able to calculate pure calcium and from my water readings?

I have:

Total hardness as caco3 at 274mg/L

Total alkalinity as caco3 at 220mg/L (my thinking is i dont really need this to calculate)

And i have magnesium at 2.4mg/L

I have found some things online that seem to be leading me to the same awnser of around 100 to 110mgl of pure calcium.

Again sorry if im being an idiot, im just trying to learn

Water question

I got my water report and for

Total hardness as caco3 is 274mgl

Total alkalinity as caco3 is 220mgl

And magnesium is 2.4mgl

It doesnt show calcium

Am I right in saying I can calculate pure calcium from this?

I worked it out to be about 110mgl

Im most likely wrong but if someone is able to advise on this would be massively appreciated
