Hello there! I have had a few days of just reflection time and wondering what is next! Forever working but God has kept me going!! The fun times of being a single dad and in college. Short term pain for long term gain is what I always remind myself about.

I’m looking for a genuine connection, someone that is looking for a deep relationship, not a hookup… seems to be an odd concept in 2026. Especially on Reddit, I’m sure I’m looking for a unicorn situation.

With that out of the way…l have lived in PA for about 6 years but I’m originally from NJ. I’m currently in school to finish up my Bachelors in Psychology. Afterwards, I am planning on starting the new year working towards my Masters in Family and Couples Therapy!

I’m 5’11, white, divorced and have 2 kids. I have what I’d describe as a dad bod. No tattoos, don’t smoke, and have cut back drinking to the point of being sober. Certainly going to be working on both the physical and mental aspects of my life this year! I’m down 10 pounds so far this month 💪

What I’m looking for: Someone that values mental and physical health. No you don’t have to have it all figured out, as I said I’m working on it too, but atleast make it a focus for yourself. I prefer someone faith-based, Conservative, and is not covered in tattoos. Obviously must be okay with kids, as mine are my biggest focus in life. I’d also love if you have a career or are working towards having that figured out. I’m at the phase in my life where I have no interest in anything but a deep connection. Though, every day is a blessing and the next is not guaranteed…I know God will put the right situation in front of me.

Faith, family, and fun are what drives my day to day life. I love to cook, go on walks, and play board games at home with my kids. There is more to me than meets the eye and I’d love to share some of that with you. I’m someone who values honesty , communication, and tradionalism. Happy Wednesday! Relaxing and watching a 1:05 Phillies game on tv a hot day outside 🔥🥵It’s the little fun things in life. Between dad life, school, cooking experiments, and trying to survive adulthood with some humor intact, life has definitely stayed interesting lately 😅

I’m the kind of guy who genuinely enjoys deep conversations, quiet nights in, random road trips, board games, nature walks, and building a real connection over time instead of rushing into something surface level. I still believe the best relationships start as friendship, chemistry, trust, and consistency first.

I’m originally from NJ but have lived in Pennsylvania for about 6 years now. I’m currently finishing my Bachelor’s in Psychology and plan to continue on for my Master’s afterward.

Someone kind, emotionally mature, faith-based, family-oriented, and focused on growing mentally and physically. Nobody has life perfectly figured out, but I value self-awareness, effort, honesty, and communication. I’m more traditional in my values and would probably connect best with someone conservative-minded who wants a real partnership and eventually a strong family life.

Outside of work and parenting, I love cooking, rock music, walks, good conversations, and staying in for low-key nights at home. There’s definitely more to me than can fit into a Reddit post, but hopefully this gives you a decent glimpse.

One important thing to be upfront about: because I share custody of my children, relocating isn’t an option for me. Ideally, I’d love to meet someone in or around Southeast PA, or someone open to eventually relocating here.

Lately I’ve been wrestling with something that ends up gets me thinking deeply.

As a Christian man, I genuinely try to lead with loyalty, consistency, honesty, and heart. I’m not perfect by any means, but I do try to live with intention, grow in my faith, and become a better father and man every day.

But if I’m being real, dating has felt discouraging. Sometimes it feels like the qualities I thought mattered most don’t even get you a chance anymore. You can work hard, be emotionally available, care deeply, want commitment, wanting to devoted Christian relationship and still feel invisible.

And honestly, I find myself wondering why.

Is it because I’m divorced? Because I have two kids? Is that automatically too much baggage for most women? Or is dating really just mostly about looks and instant chemistry now?

I’m not asking that in a bitter way. I genuinely don’t know anymore.

I know God’s timing matters, and I know my worth isn’t determined by attention or validation from people. I truly believe that. But some days it still gets lonely wondering if anyone actually wants something real anymore.

Maybe this season is preparation. Maybe it’s protection. Maybe God’s trying to build something in me first.

Either way, I’m trying not to let disappointment harden my heart.
