so i bought an s25 ultra from usa unlocked but jio 5g wasnt working so i started to search for ways to fix it and found this forum where he explained it in detailed so here's a simplified version written by AI to fix it

You will need a Windows computer (or VM) and the Samsung USB Driver installed to do the following steps. Install the USB driver from here before proceeding if you do not have it installed.

step 0: unlocking the menu:

Install the Samsung USB drivers from here if you have not already done so (note these are different then the driver's included with Smart Switch).
Enable USB Debugging in Developer menu.
Download SamFW FRP tool 4.9 or latest version from here.
Open SamFW FRP tool and connect your phone to the computer with a USB.
Using SamFW FRP tool, go to MTP tab and click on "Enable Secret Code for Verizon". See the picture below. Note it works on any US or Canadian CSC even though it says "for Verizon".
- If in the program output you see it's getting stuck on "Waiting for DIAG", then dial *#0808# on your phone to open USB settings and select "DM + MODEM + ADB" then press OK. The program should then complete the step and then get stuck on "Disabling DIAG". When it does, using the *#0808# menu again, select "MTP + ADB" this time and press OK. Now the program should complete the step and say that secret codes was unlocked.
- in the above step when you see "Waiting for DIAG" then immediately do as mentioned above then wait for 3-5 seconds and then even if it dose'nt show "Disabling DIAG" you just switch to "MTP + ADB" {{[ this is what i did because i wasnt getting the "Disabling DIAG" text ]}}
Open Service Mode Dial: *#73#

Then:

Tap BAND SELECTION
Press the 3 dots (top right) → Back
Repeat 3–4 times

This opens the full Service Mode menu.

Configure STACK 1 (physical SIM)

Go to:
UE SETTING & INFO
→ SETTING
→ PROTOCOL
→ NR5G
→ Stack Selection
→ STACK 1

Then do all of these:

NR5G
→ PRUNE STATUS
→ REMOVE NR5G PRUNE

GCF
→ REMOVE ONLY NR WHITELIST

NR5G
→ SA/NSA Mode Control
→ SA/NSA ENABLE

NR5G
→ SA/NSA Mode Control
→ Remove SA permit list

NR5G
→ NRDC
→ NRDC ENABLE

IMPORTANT for eSIM / dual SIM users

This was the part most guides skipped.(DO THIS IF YOU HAVE SECOND SIM TOO ELSE IGNORE)

If Jio is on eSIM, you MUST repeat the same settings on STACK 2.

Go to:
NR5G
→ Stack Selection
→ STACK 2

Then repeat:

REMOVE NR5G PRUNE
REMOVE ONLY NR WHITELIST
SA/NSA ENABLE
Remove SA permit list
NRDC ENABLE

Optional but recommended

SYSTEM
→ next page x4
→ SET LTE BAND CONFIG
→ SET DEFAULT LTE BAND

Reboot phone

Then:

Airplane mode ON 20 sec
OFF again
Set Jio as preferred data SIM

Results:

Jio 5G instantly started working
Around 500 Mbps speeds
n78/n77 bands enabled
eSIM also works properly now

Important notes:

MyJio may STILL say unsupported device even though 5G works perfectly.
OTA updates still work.
Knox is NOT tripped.
This does NOT require root or bootloader unlock.
Software updates may reset the settings though.

Hope this saves someone else 5 hours of pain.
