Portable laundry machines?

I’m in the early stages of apartment hunting, and my only real hard need in a place has been laundry. I do NOT want to need to go to a laundromat for laundry at all ever. However, removing in building laundry opens up a bunch of great units, and also likely improves the other aspects of the apartments I’m looking at within my price range (location, etc.)

I’m curious how people feel about those little machines you can buy online, and if they’ve been good for doing laundry at home. I’m fine hang drying clothes, but idk if those little machines can do hot wash, or linens/towels, or if they’re good even generally at all.

Has anyone got experience with these things? Pros or cons? Or recommendations?

Need help for “Smart Casual” Pre-wedding dinner

Hey all! I’m going to a wedding in a few weeks with a “Smart Casual” pre-wedding dinner the night before the ceremony/party. I’m trying to figure out what to wear to this dinner, cause I’m trying to find a good mix of dressed up and casual, and these are my options. I posted the combinations here of top, pant, and shoe that I’m considering.

I’m leaning towards the vest top and green pants, red top with green pants, or the blue dress at the end (which photographs super white so I added a photo of just the print in daylight to show that it’s blue, but I am nervous it’s TOO pale, you know?).

I’m hesitant to wear red or white because it’s a Hindu ceremony and I know red is the bride’s color and white would still be weird to wear, though western attire is expected. I also feel the denim is off the table? Idk.

My shoe options are either the strappy red heels (which I will be wearing to the ceremony so it would be GREAT if I don’t need to pack more that one pair), the patent black stilettos (which admittedly aren’t the most comfortable but are so cute), or my tan vans sneakers (which I will just be traveling in, but aren’t very cute and are literally sneakers so I feel they’re probably out right?).

(Ignore how wrinkly everything is! I’m definitely keeping that in mind with packing but I’m assuming I’ll have a steamer/iron)

Let me know! Any advice is super appreciated :)
