I did something on Airbnb today that I thought was pretty clever, and I'm curious what you think.
After I checked out, I wanted to make sure the host left me a fair review. I honestly don't think I'd done anything to deserve a bad one, but you never know. So I booked her place again for a long stay well into the future. It had free cancellation until a certain date, so there was no real commitment.
My thinking was that if she saw I was planning to come back for a long stay, she'd have no reason to rock the boat by leaving a negative review. Sure enough, less than 24 hours later she left me a glowing review. After that, I canceled the future reservation.
Do you think that's a bit sneaky, or just smart? I don't feel like I did anything wrong, but I'm interested to hear your take.
