I just finished a fic and… have you ever gotten a bite of egg and suddenly the eggs taste so eggy and you know in that moment that you won’t be able to eat eggs for a long time even if you still have eggs left on your plate? Like oh noo… hyperfixation over, my comfort meal isn’t comforting anymore.

So that happened to me with sassy/paternal/overly human characterisations of Death in MoD fics.

I need something creepy, something like how they portrayed Satan in Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ if you catch my drift.

Androgynous, sexy and unnerving… creepy. More mature. (Think Arawn in the Black Seasons series, though he is on the sassier side of the spectrum I guess)

(It doesn’t have to be an MoD, I’d be fine with anything with Death in it but it tends to show up more in MoD fics than not. And I’d appreciate AO3 only, I don’t F with ff.net 🫶🏻 oooh! And slash please, at least Harry, don’t mind het background pairings but m/m is preferable)

I remember reading this a few years ago and I want to reread it but I can’t find it for the life of me! What I remember is that Harry got time-sand in his wounds during the battle at the DoM and from it he got time-travel abilities not unlike the movie About Time.

I remember he gave up on trying to change outcomes of the war when things just kept happening anyway or to different people, so instead he focuses on trying to save and win over Draco without breaking the timeline too much.

I remember it was on AO3.
