Pushed a millipede with a rod and triggered an emergency exit from this massive parasitic Horsehair Worm

Damn I was not understanding what actually happened herebut after some research I found out this..

I gave this millipede a nudge with a rod, and this massive parasitic Horsehair Worm (phylum Nematomorpha) immediately burst out of its body. The worm had been growing inside the millipede, and the physical pressure simulated a crisis, triggering an emergency escape so it wouldn't get trapped in a dying host

.

Adult horsehair worms are completely harmless to humans and pets, but they need water or damp soil to mate, which is why it broke out onto this wet ground.

Feeling really very bad for this guy!!😭

Education loan for IIM Bangalore BBA DBE (Online) – Do banks actually refuse loans for this?

Hey everyone,

I have cleared the entrance exam cutoff for the IIM Bangalore BBA in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship (DBE) online programme with a score of 39/60 (General category). I am just waiting for the official admission offer letter to drop. The total course fee is ₹4,50,000, split into term-wise installments (around ₹42,000 per term).

I recently visited a local rural bank branch, and the manager flat out told me that no bank will provide an education loan for an online degree and claimed that even the Vidya Lakshmi portal would block my request.

I am super stressed out now. Can they really not provide loans for a degree from an elite institute like IIM Bangalore just because it is online? Or was this manager just giving me wrong information to turn me away?To current students or anyone who has taken a loan for an elite online degree (like this or IITM BS):

Did banks easily approve your loan, or did you face similar rejections?

Which bank or NBFC (like Propelld, Avanse, SBI, etc.) did you use to secure your loan?

Did you apply online via Vidya Lakshmi, or did you find a cooperative physical branch?Any guidance or personal experiences would be a huge help.

Thank you!

Title: IIM Bangalore DBE EWS fee waiver query (applied as General because I didn't have the certificate then)

Hi everyone,

I'm getting 40/60 in the IIM Bangalore DBE entrance test and had a doubt regarding the fee waiver.

When I filled out the application form, I did not have my Central EWS certificate, so I had to apply under the General category. I have since obtained my Central EWS certificate, but when I contacted the admissions office, they told me that the category cannot be changed after the application is submitted.

If I get selected, is there any possibility of being considered for the EWS fee waiver (up to 50%) or any means-cum-merit financial assistance by submitting my EWS certificate after admission, even if my admission category remains General?

I genuinely belong to the EWS category...I just couldn't submit the certificate at the time of applying.

Has anyone faced a similar situation or knows how IIM Bangalore handles such cases?

Thanks in advance!

My cat saw me again after 2 years and looked absolutely baffled, perplexed, and mildly traumatized.

I was away for almost two years and finally came back home.

This was his reaction the moment he saw me.

He just froze and stared at me like his brain was buffering. 😭

He did recognize me after a while and came over for pets, but this initial look had me laughing.

Has anyone else's cat ever looked this confused after a long time apart?

Bro's face went through all five stages of recognition in one second.

"Wait... I know you.

"No way."

"It can't be.

"Why are you back?"

"System error."

Anyone else who grew up loving National Geographic & Discovery more than cartoons?

No hate to cartoons at all

..

I know they're a huge part of many people's childhoods.

But am I the only one who was obsessed with things like National Geographic, Discovery Science, Animal Planet, Turbo, Man vs. Wild, and documentaries instead?

While everyone around me was watching cartoons, I was glued to shows about space, the Amazon rainforest, volcanoes, wildlife, inventions, ancient civilizations, and how the world works.

Looking back, I genuinely feel those shows shaped the way I think. They sparked my curiosity about sustainability, conservation, science, geography, and nature. Even today, I'd rather watch a good documentary than most TV shows.

Sometimes I miss that feeling of discovering something new about our planet every day.

Anyone else here who had a childhood like this?

ST Bus Timings: Devgad (Sindhudurg) ↔ Ratnagiri?

Does anyone know the current MSRTC (ST) bus timings from Devgad (Sindhudurg) to Ratnagiri?

I'm also looking for the return bus timings from Ratnagiri to Devgad, especially afternoon or evening buses.

If anyone travels this route regularly or knows the current schedule, I'd really appreciate your help.

I couldn't find updated information . The ST depot is quite far from where I live, so I thought I'd ask here first. If anyone knows the timings, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Need an honest review of BMCC Pune

Hi everyone!

I scored 99.73 percentile in the Maharashtra BBA CET, so BMCC is one of my top choices. and would love to hear from current students or alumni.

I have a few questions:

- How is the overall campus and college atmosphere?

- What are the usual lecture timings for first-year students?

- Are there enough opportunities for internships, competitions, and networking?

- How strict is the attendance?

- How is the faculty and teaching quality?

- What's the crowd like?

- Does anyone know about the girls' hostel? Who is eligible to get a hostel room, how does the allotment process work, and is it difficult to get one?

- Anything you wish you had known before joining BMCC?

I'd really appreciate honest reviews..

both the positives and the negatives.

Thanks in advance!

Is Amul Falooda ice cream one of the most underrated flavours? 😭

I rarely see anyone talk about this flavour, but Amul Falooda has been one of my absolute favourite.

The rose flavour, the little basil (sabja) seeds, and the overall taste just hit differently.Am I the only one who's obsessed with it, or does this flavour have a small fan club?

Anyone else unable to find Physical Scrutiny FCs for Ratnagiri or Sindhudurg?

Hi everyone,

I'm filling out the MAH BBA CET CAP registration form. My mentor suggested choosing Physical Scrutiny instead of E-Scrutiny.

However, I'm facing an issue. When I try to select a Physical Scrutiny Centre, I can't find any FCs for Ratnagiri or Sindhudurg. But when I check the separate FC list, R.P. Gogate College, Ratnagiri is listed.

Is anyone else facing the same problem? Are there no Physical Scrutiny Centres available for these districts, or is this a portal issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Found this strange furry object on my verandah in [Konkan, India]. Any idea what it is?

I found this on my verandah this morning in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. It looks like a small tuft of fur with something attached at one end. It's around a few centimeters long and doesn't seem to move.

Does anyone know what it could be? Could it be from a squirrel, rat, cat, or some insect/caterpillar? Any help with identification would be appreciated.

Best US CMA coaching in Pune or Mumbai after 12th?

Hi everyone,

I just completed my 12th and I'm planning to pursue the US CMA. I'm looking for good coaching institutes in Pune or Mumbai.

I've spoken with Finstreet, and I'm also considering IMS Proschool. Finstreet has offered me an early booking discount, but I don't want to make a rushed decision based only on pricing.

If you've studied US CMA at any institute in Pune or Mumbai, I'd really appreciate your honest feedback

.

Specifically, I'd like to know:

Which institute did you choose and why?

How was the teaching quality?

Were the faculty and doubt support good?

Did they help with exam preparation and placement?

Thank you!

One Exam Can Open Doors for Thousands

I support the idea of having a single entrance examination for IPM admissions.

At the same time, flexibility can be maintained through the exam pattern. Similar to CUET, there can be separate sections for higher mathematics and basic arithmetic. Institutes that require advanced mathematics, such as IIM Indore, can consider the higher mathematics section, while other institutes can focus on aptitude and Class 10–12 level arithmetic.

For many students from rural and remote backgrounds, managing multiple entrance examinations can be challenging. Application fees, travel expenses, accommodation costs, and the need to prepare for different examination patterns create additional barriers. In regions such as Konkan and other areas away from major cities, these challenges are often amplified. These challenges are particularly significant for students from economically weaker backgrounds, for whom the cost of multiple applications, travel, and accommodation can be a serious burden.

I have also come across discussions about students who were unable to access certain fee concessions or support schemes because obtaining the required income certificates was difficult. The reasons may vary from place to place, but administrative hurdles can sometimes prevent deserving students from receiving the assistance meant for them.

I also remember reading about a student who could appear only for IPMAT Indore despite being interested in multiple IPM programmes, as the overall cost of applications and examinations was difficult to manage. Following year she took a partial drop for JIPMaT.No capable student should have to limit their opportunities because of financial or logistical constraints.

A common entrance examination would reduce these barriers and make the admission process more affordable, accessible, and equitable. Talent should be the deciding factor...not geography, financial circumstances, or administrative difficulties.
