Finally! ChipDrop Came Through!

Finally! ChipDrop Came Through!

ChipDrop was great for me last year and the year before. But I've been getting no play this year.

But...

This Black Cherry just came in two loads!

I reupped my request and will start bucking this stuff if the rain and storms hold off.

I'm a happy camper now! 🙂

To Stack Or Not To Stack

I finished splitting this maple today. Earlier this year an elderly friend had a tree service drop and buck it. She needed it out of her yard and knew we heat with wood. I wanted to keep it up off the ground while I was splitting since it will be awhile before I get it moved over to my usual winter working stacks.

I set out 4 skids to pile it on. I kind of semi stacked the perimeter and filled the interior space pretty tightly. As it got taller I arranged it to be more stable.

Once done I realized it's pretty good, though not as tight as a real stack. I might just leave it this way until I need to use it late winter. If my OCD will let me!

What would y'all do? Re-stack it or let it ride?

95 F150 Larger Mirrors

I have a 95 F150 4WD with extended cab and full size bed. It has the Sport mirrors which I find to be too small to clearly see everything behind me when backing up. Also, I'd like to have enough room on the passenger side mirror to accommodate a larger fish eye mirror than the one that's currently on there. My aging eyes have a hard time seeing in that little fish eye.

Does anyone have recommendations for larger 2-pt mount mirrors? Bonus if I could use, or at least cover the sport mirror mounting holes at the top.

Thanks in advance!

Finally got her back on the road. Now I can post a pic!

I had a couple issues trying to do repairs myself so my girl ('95) has been down for several months. Finally, last night everything came together.

Good thing because 5 minutes after I woke up this morning, we got a call that our 90yo friend had a tree down in her yard. She needed it cleaned up today. I made 3 trips at 1/3 cord each. Now im a cord closer to my cutting goal this year.

She ran smooth with no Check Engine or other warning lights. So glad to haver her on the road again! I've got several places I can cut firewood but didn't have a way to haul it.
