I am aware that I am asking what seems a very niche demographic of people, but I was curious if anyone under the age of 16 ( specifically trans men) got HRT while as a resident of WA state. I've heard of folks getting T before turning 16 because they were at a Tanner stage of four or five and puberty blockers wouldn't have been the best in their scenario, I've just yet to here such things happen here. If anyone has any input, that'd be great and I'd strongly appreciate if you'd share.
This is my first post here, so before I get into the nitty-gritty, I want to share a wee bit about myself first.
Just this summer I've come to terms with being trans FtM. For the past 2/3 years, I've been out to my family and friends as non-binary, and I'm so grateful for how accepting they've been. My father(a classic conservative Republican man), along with my friends, have been using them/them pronouns for a while, while my mother(a woke liberal woman) and her side still use she/her for me. I've discussed with my mom when I was still considering the possibility of being a transman, and she just told me, like always, not to rush myself and put myself into a box. I'll admit —it's solid advice, but at the same time, I think it's one of the reasons I was so hesitant about coming to terms with my identity.
Anyway, I'm going into eighth grade this year, and I don't know how much longer I can live "as a woman" in public, such as school. I've known loads of the students there for years, and while I was out to some of my teachers as non-binary, taking the "big step" of coming out as a transman seems too overwhelming. In addition, I've got a fear of getting harassed in the restrooms and at the same time I don't feel comfortable with using the women's no more. (My friend group has had a pretty bad history of getting harassed and bullied. I am fortunate in that I'm excused from gym and sports and the changing room hassle that goes along with it.) This has got me pondering, do I finish up middle school and just finish this phase of my life and just wait another year till the "fresh start" of high school, or should I "take the leap" of coming out?
TLDR: I'm FtM, out as NB and am wondering if I should come out in my last year of middle school, or just wait the wee 10 months till high school.
I love the look of a cluttered wall of posters, and I'm unsure how to phrase this but I want my walls to look aesthetically pleasing while still expressing my interests. If anyone has any tips or recommendations, please share, as I'll be happy to consider any advice.
