Help: Running Indian takeaway - Very very low order volumes

Hi,

I am a business owner running an Indian takeaway and I my last order came through on 2nd August 2026 - Nothing since! It's crazy since we get thousands of £ per week via our own website.

Are there any tips please from fellow restaurant/ takeaway owners? Is there a way to do "smart offers" like on JustEat? Or is it just a manual create bundle and discount only option?

Thank you

UK broadband cashback - All providers available:)

I signed up to Vodafone broadband - I got additional cashback (it has been paid out) I also signed up my mum, her contract with Virgin Media came to an end and I also got her cashback.

Works for all UK broadband providers (ths cashback is on top of any standard online offers so it's a massive win)

If anyone wants the referral link - Let me know :)

Help from fellow FIRE community members

Hi all,

I know this is not FIRE exactly, but the community here is really good at this sort of stuff...

A family member turned 66 in Jan 2026 and he's got a house fully paid.

He doesn't have anything other than a state pension (£12k a year) and he doesn't receive any other benefits.

He's still working and unable to retire as he's got no private pension.. For him it was not possible to pay into a pension due to family commitments.

He has only a few grand (no more than £5k approximately) in emergency savings.

Any tips that I can pass on please to help in this situation? It seems like a hopeless situation, but any advice is much appreciated. Thank you
