So me (16M) and my gf (16F), who we will call M, have been dating for almost 8 months. It's been amazing, and we have both been very happy and have never had any issues. Any problems we do encounter, we always talk to each other about and solve together. Recently, something different happened.

In early March, I went out of town to play a concert with my school's orchestra. Around that time, M also got a job. We celebrated and I was incredibly happy for her. However, she began to change somewhat since.

Lately, especially since school has been out, M has been super distant from me. Texting me back hours later, always being too busy, and not really putting in the effort she once did. If she got busy, I completely understand, but it has gotten to a point where I dont feel like she cares that much anymore. The two times ive seen her in person since April, she sent me home early so she could go play games and call with her online friends. And it's kind of been this way since. She'll always complain about never having time and that she's sorry for being too busy to hang out with me, but I always see her online with her friends. It just doesn't feel the same anymore. I dont want to sound like a dick and forbid her from talking to her friends, but I can't help but feel like she only comes to me out of convenience. It doesn't seem like she wants me. Idk. I might just be overreacting since ive been bored out of my skull since summer started, but I just want a little comfort with this because it's been eating at me for months.

TLDR: My girlfriend of 8 months switched up and wont put in effort anymore.
