I'm trying self-hosting AIOStreams on my personal MacBook just for myself for now and a few friends to test it out. I'm running it through orbstack and using Tailscale funnel to publish it and since I'm only hosting AIOStreams, this setup works for me.

However, I noticed that even though the max timeout for my addons are 10,000 ms, results take more than 30 seconds to a minute, sometimes more, to show up on other devices, even on the same network but using the MacBook itself returns results in 10 seconds, sometimes less.

While I don't consider 30 seconds a bad loading time, I'm just curious if the delay is because of my wifi or Tailscale funnel or some other reason I haven't thought of.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I use Rakuyomi to read manga with Koreader on my kindle and I’m having an issue where even if I set the page turn as RTL for one chapter, on the very next chapter, it’s reset back to LTR. Also, the chapter which was previously set as RTL is now also LTR.

I know there’s an option to just set every new book to open RTL but then it wouldn’t be right for the normal books I read.

Is there any Rakuyomi/Koreader setting that can auto apply RTL to the manga or at least apply RTL to everything in Rakuyomi?

I'm using AIOMetadata and have Series and Anime providers as TVDB and I have Use IMDb ID for Catalog/Search for Series enabled under Anime Settings.

The issue is, when I search for an anime, sometimes, the series and anime entries are the same but other times, there's a separate series entry with all the metadata and then an anime entry with just the basic description and mediocre artwork.

I also have Anilist enabled in AIOMetadata and for those shows where Anime and Shows metadata are the same, when I watch it, it syncs to Anilist no problem but if there's a separate entry like I mentioned above, Anilist won't sync unless I watch that specific version.

The streams found for both are same but is there anyway to merge these entries.

Eg: When searching, Attack on Titan has the same metadata, posters, and episodes in both Anime and Shows section but an anime like the second season of You and I are Polar Opposites are different in the Anime section and Shows section.

Heylo peeps, I just jailbroke my kindle and I’ve been fiddling around with Koreader, installing simpleUI, ZenUI, Bookshelf, basically trying out everything and I’m having a lot of fun. I tried the z-library plugin but metadata there is a hit or miss and I tried the calibre plugin but seems that’s only for syncing books from calibre to the kindle.
Is there a workflow where I can download books from z-library and wirelessly edit the metadata using calibre? Or even syncing from kindle to calibre to edit the metadata and back would be amazing.

Wanted to try AIOManager to help manage my friend’s stremio and tried an instance midnight was running but I can’t get it to work.

After I create the initial password and it gives me a UUID, I go to login (with my own credentials) and see the button greyed out with the text “vault locked”.

If I then log out and then try logging back in with the credentials that were created 30 seconds ago, I get “Database is locked. Please ensure your master password is set up or unlock the app.”

What am I doing wrong?

I was experimenting with duck streams and found out it had the option of easily setting AIOMetadata as well and under the poster options, there’s one for better posters and I really like the design of it.

My only issue is, the password to that specific AIOMetadata (or duck metadata) instance that duck streams installs isn’t the same as the one I input for making the manifest url so I can’t customize it further.

Is there any way to get those poster style from duck metadata into my own AIOMetadata setup?

I have Nuvio installed on my android TV and have AIOStreams with open subtitles installed as well.

Whenever starting a new stream, it defaults to a subtitle provided by AIOStreams even if there is already a subtitle with the video file.

Is there a way to have it prefer embedded subtitles over addon subtitles?

I’m setting up AIOStreams (actually it’s already mostly set up and I’m just fine tuning it) using midnightignite’s nightly instance and I noticed sometimes, when I’m watching anime, it’ll fetch the results of another show that has a similar name.

For example, my hero academia will also fetch my hero academia vigilantes or Horimiya will also fetch Horimiya piece.

I tried to enable name matching, enter the tmdb read access key and also tried setting the match to 100% exact but I’m still getting these other results.

It’s not a big deal since I’ve already figured how to have my favorite release groups at the top so the stream I actually want is usually the second one but this would be a good QoL improvement so thought I’d check if there was something I’m doing wrong.

Any help is appreciated. 🙂
