I did this on my phone so apologise for any mistakes.

This happened last year

I work for a very large construction company.

We have a bitch in accounts that is a 9 to 5, dead on 5 she leaves the building.

She is one of those people that is sweet and nice to your face but would stab you in the back the next second.

One morning I had to take a document to the post office as it had to go by special delivery,  I tagged this on to the beginning of My lunch bake so I went to the post office and then to lunch ,by the time I got there and had handed in the letter and paid I still had 10 min to go before my lunch bake, there was no point going back to the office as by the time I got there it would be time to leave again so I headed home, sweet an extra ten min! 

Anyway after lunch I head back to the office, take the receipt to the Bitch  in accounts and think no more of it.

Later on I get our account director come down and chew me out as the Bitch in account had complained I was taking an hour and a half lunch as she had seen the time on the receipt

I told him that wasn’t true and it take me a good 15min to get to the post office then I have to hand the item in, pay ect which take up time  anyway I got chewed out for taking 30 Min extra on my lunch brake, in stead of the 10 I actually got  very unfair.

So I sat on this a few days seething, and then finally the opportunity came around.

We have self receipts that are printed by account and given to me to hand out to each sites QS  so we can prove our contractors have been paid. now the thing is they are very time consuming for the Account department as they have to hand put all info  into our system from the Invoices our contractors have given us, then printed out as the self receipt, these are done  at the end of the month it can take days to do it. As there are thousands.

Each person in our account department are allocated site they are responsible for  they are also very important, I am not quite sure why these are important but it as something to do with being able to prove we have paid our contractors.

A bunch from Bitch in account turned up on my desk to be handed out I split them in to two piles, handed one pile out to the Qs’s and got a bin bag and dumped the second pile in the bin bag tied it up took it outside and dumped it in the bin. The bin went the next morning

A day or so later the QS came to me and said, “did you give me all the Self Receipts?”, I replied  in an innocent voice , “I gave you all the ones I had why are some missing?”

“Yes about a hundred.”

I grinned inside, bitch got chewed out for missing over a hundred and had to stay behind to redo them it took her an extra 5 hours.

No one every found out, to this day I still get rid of a few of hers from time to time just to make sure she dose a bit of unwanted overtime

I smiled Gleefully as I left the building that night, while watching her in the window still working away, when I know she hated staying behind and I was totally responsible for her not being about to leave on time.

 

So this started last year, my family have been taken care of  my disable uncle for the past 15 years, he was diagnosed with an unidentified brain disease although very much aware of what is happening, sometime even more so than me. It has effected his speech and movement, so I usually speak for him, I was given permission to speak for him to universal credit. 

As he doesn’t spend a lot he had a substantial amount of money in his account, nearly £30,00.00 they asked me if he had any other bank account, I said no as that is what I thought at the time. 

Then asked me a load of question about the money going out of his account. 

I will admit I was under the impression that they were going to be asking about him and not his bank account, so I wasn’t very prepared for this, I’ll admit I blagged my way though most off it, as I didn’t have the answers to hand, and i was at work at the time, my boss had given me 15 min to complete this, 45 min later we were still at it, and I was feeling the pressure of getting back to work. I just wanted to get of the phone, there was no malice intent here, just very ill prepared. 

 However afterwards I did start to think that things weren’t adding up. I later found out that My uncle George was putting christophets money into another account for savings, the account was in his name, George isn’t very tech minded so he found it easer to just put it into an old account of his. By the time I found out about this account Social workers had got involved.  We were very open and transparent and gave everyone all the information they needed. I told them what had happened.  

The  social workers then told me I had to become his appointee after visiting, not a problem just formally doing what I had been doing already. 

We got it all sorted out and I became his appointee. 

Now going back two years before this Christopher had lend me £4,000.00 to help pay for my cat surgery, I paid every penny of this back. 

I have bank statement to prove this. 

I then get a message from UC saying we had to pay back £10,00.00, it was no problem, we did it the same day. 

I then get this really rude women on the phone that demanded that I see her the next day, I told her I was at work and couldn’t get the time off that fast, she basic was very rude and told me I had to and I had to bring proof of this loan, not a problem I had that information, but the way she was speaking to me and demanding thing like soaking with my vets and seeing bank statment I got defence and told her that we weren’t doing it at that time and I ended up putting the phone down, I did call UC afterward and said I was happy for someone else to come out, but it would have to been at a time of my convenient and I didn’t want that women dealing with it, I never hear back from them regarding this.  

I then rang UC to get a receipt for the monies we had to pay back, but they said I wasn’t his appointee anymore, I figured this was some sort of mix up, I left a message on Christopher UC account, I didn’t get an answer. 

While all this was happening Christopher account has been suspended, I am sending messages but getting no where fast all I get is the account is suspended once we have more we will let you know.  

This went off from April to now, so I ended up making a complaint to get some answers. 

I then get a phone call from a lady for a external company that manage people money.  I basically tell her that there must me some mistake as I was dealing with his monies. 

Two weeks go by and I don’t get any joy from the complaint so I intended to log into his UC account and escalate the whole thing. 

However I cant long in, so I ring universal credit, I don’t get much out of the gentleman I speak with, but he dose tell me that the email on the account now ends in Oxfordshire.co.uk which is the Social workers email address. i have been locked out of his account.

I am at a bit of a loss what to do from here to find out what is going on, UC wont speak with me and neither with the social workers. 

I am taken Christoper into the Job centre Tomorrow, but I was told they are something different to UC and probably wont be able to help. 

We are obviously  being investigate, but no one will tell me anything at this point. 

We have been open and transparent about everything, have literally been jumping though hoops for them. 

It has really annoyed me that that they  have taken this route of cloak and dagger instead of being open and honest, we would have cooperated fully with their investigation. 

We have not taken any of his money, which is what it look like they are accusing us off 

Can anyone help and tell me what is happening and what to expect in the future? 

As you can imagine this has become very stressful for myself and for Christoper.
