Some 3D-Printed Parts to Play With 👀

One thing we've always enjoyed as engineers is exploring how far a keyboard can go beyond just being a keyboard.

Over the past few months, we've seen a ton of awesome 3D-printed creations from the community on Instagram, Rednote, and elsewhere. Some of you have been making stands, knobs, accessories, and all kinds of creative mods for your keyboards. It genuinely inspired us.

So during our Summer Anniversary Sale, we decided to do a little experiment.

The first 100 Kick75 orders came with a few 3D-printed accessories for free. We weren't trying to sell them, we just wanted to share an idea and hopefully inspire more people to build, tweak, and have fun with the Kick75.

That said, these are 3D-printed prototypes, not production accessories. They might have minor imperfections, or rough edges, which is exactly why we don't sell them as products. We hope you'll see them as something fun to play around with rather than a finished commercial accessory.

If you received a set, you might want to check out this video first. The stand requires a quick bit of assembly before it's ready to use. You'll also need a small amount of liquid adhesive to assemble the stand securely.

We'd also love to hear what you think.

What other accessories would you like to see? Any improvements to these? Or have you designed something cool yourself?

Drop a comment, we're always looking for ideas from the community. ❤️

Which full-size keyboard would you choose?

We've been seeing a lot of requests for a full-size keyboard lately, so we're playing around with a few layout ideas.

We're curious—which one feels the best to you?
For this poll, just look at the layout. Don't worry about switch type, profile, colors, keycaps, or anything else.

Imagine they're all the same keyboard with different key arrangements.
And if you've got a minute, tell us why you picked it.

  • What works well?
  • What doesn't?
  • Anything you'd change?

We're reading all the comments, so don't hold back. We'd love to hear what you'd actually want to use.

Kick75 magnetic cover 3D file is now available!

Hi, everyone.

One of the more unexpected pieces of feedback we've received about the Kick75 is just how many of those little magnetic covers on the right side have seemingly vanished into thin air.

We've seen posts from users who lost theirs to who-knows-where else: https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1u0d61e/what_to_do_when_the_magnetic_bit_on_the_kick75_is/

At the same time, ever since we shared some of our ideas for customizing the magnetic module area, many of you have been asking if we'd release the original 3D model: https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1u75reg/you_guys_took_kick75_customization_way_further/

We've seen requests for it, so we're making it available to everyone.

Print a replacement. Remix it. Turn it into something we never thought of.

You could download it in the Kick75 product page in [Specs - STP files] part https://nuphy.com/products/nuphy-kick75

Happy printing, and don't forget to share your creations with us. 🖨️

You guys took Kick75 customization way further than we did!!

When we were designing Kick75, we intentionally left a few little “open spots” for people to play with.

The idea was pretty simple: Kick75 shouldn’t just be a keyboard you buy and use as-is. If you have a 3D printer, or just like messing around with ideas, you should be able to make it more personal.

That’s why on our product page, we showed a few possible add-ons like a phone stand, knobs, switch plate, and other small accessories. Those were just our starting points.

But after Kick75 launched, we started seeing more and more people doing their own versions on MakerWorld and social media — different keycaps, knobs, stands, and a bunch of ideas we honestly didn’t think of ourselves. That has been really fun to watch.

We also found a 3D printing creator here on Reddit and invited them to make a few things for Kick75, please see attached photos.

Current setup while pretending I’m organized.

My desk has never looked this clean.

Give it a day and there’ll probably be keycaps, switches, prototype parts, and tools all over it again...
