Chicken pox if vaccinated?
Hi! I was vaccinated for the chicken pox as a child over 20 years ago. I am supposed to go to a big lunch at my friend’s house with her family tomorrow, but she just informed me that her younger sibling has chicken pox. She has already had it, as have some of her siblings, but her other younger siblings have not.
Is it safe for me to go to her house? Am I at risk of contracting chicken pox if I’ve been vaccinated? Can I cause my older parents, who had chicken pox as children, to get shingles if I come in contact with chicken pox?
CDC and other websites have not been super helpful with this, thanks in advance.
