Questions only for Radiology technician

Someone corrected me it’s technologist and not technicians. I’m sorry for that.

One community college. 24 seats and 300+ applications. Wait year. This is my community college numbers.

What made you guys go after this career so bad?
Is there is so much opportunity why isn’t there as more rad tech colleges as nursing? What’s going on ?

Is this TikTok trend causing you any harm or saturation in your career or to someone who is preparing for rad tech career.

( The TikTok trend where if people say rad tech is good than nursing and pays well bla bla and it’s just two years of community college)

Big question to new Rad tech. Is career meeting the expectation you had in mind.

Please I need your help

I live Old Louisville near uofl school.

Hey guys. I don’t have a car or know how to drive. So, I wanna be able to go to work by bus. I’m looking part time or if full time light work or less physical tiring ( I mean unless it doesn’t exhaust me to sleep after work ). The reason i’m taking online prerequisite course for health care programs from jctc especially with A&p ii and one light course could be English 101 or any humanities course. The job experience I have is dietary aide at nursing home for 6 months. The reason I left that job was it was far travel. And Other is 1 year chick fil a with no drive through. I’m a very hardworking and has gotten a very good review from both managers. I’m not lying.

English is not my first language but I can fluently communicate with coworkers.

I did apply to restaurants near me walkable but they don’t reply. I would love to work in nursing home near me too even in kitchens but I don’t see opening. I don’t know should I go and walk and ask for job. Please be kind and teach me.

Or is there any openings please tell me I will apply or go there. I applied in hospital every possible roles i can think of but only rejection after rejection.

No Cna jobs. Beggar don’t have a choice but can i please be picky about this.

Thank you. Thank you. Since my classes are online. And homework exams will be due every Sunday. So, i’m open to any day.

Please HELP

Are you facing situations as mine?

I have a ms degree and always wanted to work in healthcare. I’m doing pre requisite for nursing at community college. I would consider myself not very bright. Anyway, my husband is a nurse and also has nurse practitioner degree. He is looking for a job for his nurse practitioner degree.

He is still working as a nurse and has 5 years experience. So, he comes home so depressed and exhausted. He tells me and used to tell me how nursing isn’t worth it and he did convince me to be honest. But I really wanted to work in healthcare. I have seen worse in life. So, despite that one day, i just decided to enroll in community college. I’m doing my pre requisite. He still is adamant to that. I have seen him go through it. And here i’m trying same career. Sometimes i wonder after all that hard work. Will it proven he was correct all along. Will i not enjoy. I wonder and that just makes me look into radiology but again nursing is really diverse.

That’s just my situation right now. My husband is supportive and he told me he will give me $100 per A lol.
