PP 15 single handle cartridge replacement

Hi everybody last night I noticed that there was water coming out from underneath the sink even though the sink was not being used looks like water was leaking from underneath the hot and cold water supply. I assume that it was a cartridge problem to which sent me down this rabbit hole of figuring out exactly what brand of faucet I have which I think is a pp15 Pfister model number 974-035

I don't know how to replace the nut that's plastic with another one because to get it off I basically had to damage it to find out what kind of cartridge I was dealing with. I don't think they carry this at home Depot anymore because the sink is probably 20 years old. I was thinking about contacting Pfister tomorrow and seeing if I could get some replacement parts but who knows how long that would take. I did find a part on Amazon that's 21 bucks that will arrive by Friday but it doesn't come with the bonnet nut that apparently is very important to make sure it doesn't leak again.

As I'm looking at the photo there's supposed to be a black gasket in the faucet casing I think it completely disintegrated over time there is no gasket whatsoever so that might be actually what happened.

Thought I would ask you before I make it any worse. Thanks!
