Styling Advice for Chronic Nail Biter/Skin Picker

Hi! Hoping for some good advice since I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and want to look put-together. My entire life I've had issues with biting/picking my nails, and starting in my teenage years sometimes the skin around the nail when I don't feel satisfied wanting everything to feel smooth. I know, I just make the unevenness worse with this, but BFRBs are illogical.

I've never gotten my nails professionally done in my 24 years of life, since I never saw myself as worthy of it. I'm hoping cleaning myself up for a wedding is a good excuse to start taking care of my nails better.

Is there any saving this? What would make the most sense? Press-ons from a store? Painting these little nubs? A salon? If I did go to a salon, what would I ask for?

Thank you so much in advance! ❤️
