Susie’s Biology

This is incredibly stupid.

I was thinking to myself about how weird it is that Susie is a reptile, and yet shares many mammalian and/or Human traits. So I started thinking about it, and went down a bit of an evolutionary biology rabbit hole trying to figure out more about Susie’s biology.

Firstly, the thing that stuck out to me in the beginning that prompted all this, is Susie’s hair. Hair, of course, is a mammalian trait, but I think there’s a good explanation for it. Susie is partially based off of a dinosaur, and dinosaurs had feathers. Her hair probably consists of many feathers which convergently evolved to look like hair. Susie’s “head feathers” probably serve the same function as human hair, they’re a display structure.

Next I started to get a little annoyed. A lot of fanart depicts Susie with breasts, and that made no sense to me, because she’s a reptile, but then I started to think things through. Most of a human’s breast is actually entirely unnecessary, most mammals basically just have nipples and not much else, whereas humans have a large accumulation of breast tissue and fat around them. This is because, for us, they’re a display structure. If you’re eating well enough to accumulate a large amount of mostly useless fat on your chest, you’re probably a pretty good hunter, which is a desirable trait in a mate. Therefore, it’s possible that Susie’s species developed similar accumulations of fatty tissue, also for display. This would, however, mean that even if you choose to depict her with breasts, she would not have nipples. However, I’m not comfortable looking at smut of Susie anyway because she’s a minor, so that inaccuracy isn’t one I’d come across. However, this is all speculation, as Susie’s in game sprite gives us no information as to whether or not she has breast like structures, so it’s entirely possible, and in fact somewhat likely, that she simply doesn’t have them.

And finally, we’ll end on her diet. Susie is stated throughout the game to eat various items that most would not consider food, like chalk, moss, and black crumbs from the toaster. Obviously the main reason she does this is because she’s either being neglected by her parents, her family is too poor to afford regular meals, or both. But, it’s a bit strange that she’s able to eat this stuff with little health issues. She doesn’t seem sickly at all, and in fact she’s portrayed as ridiculously strong and athletic in game. So I propose that Susie’s variety of monster evolved to feed kind of like dumpsters, they’ll just eat anything that comes their way, thus cleaning up the environment. So it’s possible her species is resistant to toxins, food borne illnesses, and spoiled food, which I think is a pretty neat idea.

Ok these were my insane ramblings goodbye.

What's Up With the Disco Lord?

I've seen this guy get bashed pretty hard, a lot of people have said in the past that he's pretty bad on the tabletop. I found a post from a year ago which detailed some of the reasons why, but his rules seem to have changed quite a bit since then, and he doesn't seem so bad to me. What's your guys' opinion on him?

Is a Hammerhead a decent proxy for a Battlewagon?

I've been looking at the GW models, and I'm not really that big of a fan of the official Battlewagon model. I had the idea to Ork up a T'au Hammerhead, but when I checked the dimensions, it was a little too short, and over an inch too wide.

Do you think that's too big of a difference to play with because of LOS issues, or would it be fine? Discussion about whether you think the conversion would look cool is also welcome.
