14; is it worth it?

This might sound Ludacris, but I’ve been using reason 5 for such a long time and finally bought a MacBook Pro that can handle the later versions and I’m looking forward to upgrading. However, I see that some people are disillusioned with reason 14 and I’m wondering if I can get the same results with an earlier version like 12 or 13.
I know it would only be saving me so much money but 14 is $300 and I would like some peace of mind if I’m going to pocket dump on that or get an earlier, capable version that isn’t as much.
I plan on using the upgrade for tracking vocals, hardware, and other analog equipment alongside the instruments that are programmed.

MacBook M-Series question

I plan on getting a MacBook and am unsure if the later M-series is necessary. They’re all 16GB RAM but I’m not sure if M4 is necessary; does anyone use M1 or M2 efficiently with Reason 13-14?
