Does New Hampshire ever actually pay unemployment??

I got laid off due to downsizing (no fault of my own, company was not making money) on June 4. I filed for unemployment on June 8. I have attended the in person training at my local office, submitted my work searches and certified on Sunday afternoon every week since, and haven’t seen a dollar of unemployment insurance. Luckily we have some savings and help from family. Does NH ever actually pay unemployment, or do they just drag their feet until you find another job?

Suggestions for tying down canoe on roof of 2011 Q5?

I’d like to get a canoe and be able to throw it on the roof of my Q5. I have roof rack cross bars and cam buckle straps for strapping down to the bars, but whenever I’ve carried a canoe on other vehicles in the past, I’ve always run a length of small diameter rope from the handles at the bow and stern of the boat down to something on the vehicle (like a trailer hitch receiver or tow hook or something like that). I can’t find anything on the Q5 to tie down to.
I was thinking about looping another cam strap through the cargo tie downs in the trunk, and letting it hang out under the trunk lid, then tying off to that but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. Anybody have thoughts? I can’t be the only one who’s ever wanted to put a canoe on my roof…

Trunk lid not latching

Hey all, the trunk lid on my 2012 Q5 stopped latching as of this afternoon’s grocery run. I opened it with the fob to put the groceries in the trunk, closed it with the button on the hatch, and got in the car. On my way out of the parking lot I noticed that the indicator on the instrument panel was blinking, telling me the trunk wasn’t closed. I pulled over, opened it with the button on the hatch, pressed the close button and it went down, but didn’t fully close (it looks closed, but didn’t suck in that last fraction of an inch like it’s supposed to). Sure enough, I was able to just pull it open by hand without unlatching it. Has anybody experienced this? Know what the culprit is?

Thanks!
