The finales for all three seasons have been so incredibly unbalanced where one team gets the insane route and the other team gets the more flat and comfortable walk. Even with the people that have the flat easy walks getting super lost they always catch up even if the other team doesn’t get lost at all because their routes are that much easier.

The Jungle finale where one team had to get in chest deep water for hours and the other team only had to get their legs wet for almost no time at all wasn’t remotely fair.

Season 2 where the Texas bros got to be lost for what seemed like hours only to somehow get back to the river, follow a mostly flat straight path, use a bow drill they’d never used before and win before the other team arrived was so unfairly off balance that I was wanting to scream. Even if mountain man hadn’t taken the shortcut, they had an insane trek leading up to that decision that was made and never had an easy walk as part of their trek.

I’m assuming many of you have watched Naked and Afraid like I have and bow drills aren’t easy for experienced survivalists much less some guys that never picked one up in their lifetimes. They were lost so deep in the woods and didn’t know how to course correct with a compass so I also call BS on them magically going to the river too.

I love how almost everyone here has been hoodwinked, bamboozled and led astray to change their opinions of Michelle, one of the worst people to ever be on this show. Especially when she lied first. You see, the experts knew they were matching her with a man that lived in his parents basement and so they asked her if she’d accept marriage with a man who lived with his parents if he was working his way out of that situation. And she said that was okay with her. Remember!?! They even replayed it for ALL of us to see. Y’all can keep saying you would have also felt the same way about a grown man being in his parent’s house. But would you have lied to get on the show and say you’d be okay with it? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

David would have never been with Michelle if she hadn’t lied to the experts and said she was fine with that in the first place. Period. She wasn’t attracted to him and wanted an out. She then treated him worse than dog poop and mocked him during the honeymoon with the condescending “mommy” comment. She was vile and disgusting and that wasn’t an accident. It was intentional. It was methodical. She wanted to break him down bit by bit and she harped on it over and over again.

David never smoked after she said she didn’t like it so the smoking is a moot point.

When David unintentionally started to catch feelings for a fellow cast member, he did what a person who is being filmed on national TV and knows what the world would say would do. He kept it to himself. Until he accidentally sent Michelle the text and then he lied. When they met with the experts, Pastor Cal said as a man you don’t emotionally step out on your wife. This is a marriage. Etc.

If the text had never happened and Maddison and David admitted to their spouses before even admitting to each other that they were developing feelings for someone else - they would have still been villainized. They would have still been told “shame on you for allowing yourself to be in a vulnerable position for this to happen to you in the first place”. It would have been labeled emotional cheating and people still wouldn’t have believed they had never done anything. Because that’s the judgmental world we live in. While being filmed on national tv, they did what they felt would protect them and stayed quiet. I truly believe if this wasn’t on tv and Maddison didn’t have to worry about the world hating her for breaking it off with America’s sweetheart (Allen) and David didn’t have to worry about being hated because he’s a man who had feelings for someone else, they would have come clean and been honest that their hearts were being pulled elsewhere.

Michelle saw her chance to not be the villain and she ran with it. Of course she changed her entire attitude and apologized for being a stone cold hearted B after the show had aired and the internet had spoken. I don’t buy it. She never cared. She didn’t care about Allen when she planted the seed in his head. She only cared about saving face because hers was turned up sideways and under all the time.

It’s been 2 1/2 years and David and Maddison are still together and happy. They waited a long time to get engaged. They’re clearly in love. There are no receipts from any other exes that he’s ever cheated on them or claims that he has. He’s a good man. He’s the man we saw before the text gate scandal. He’s also human. His heart wanted acceptance and love and basic human decency. Maddison gave him that and he fell for her. It wasn’t malicious. It wasn’t mean. The way they went about it wasn’t perfect but the internet and experts wouldn’t have accepted anything as perfect.

Even if they’d said to each other “it seems we may have some feelings here. Let’s pump the breaks until after Decision Day and give our relationships a fair chance”…. And then they got together afterwards - most people would still accuse them of having done something. “Oh but we saw the way y’all vibed at the gym. You must have been cheating”. They literally could not win. So they panicked and kept it to themselves.

I also believe they were not on top of each other the night Maddison lost her phone. If they were then he wouldn’t have needed to text that to her. He could have just told her that while being alone with her.

And lastly I believe Maddison really didn’t know about the text. I believe David was lit that night and wanted to shoot his shot and sent something that was very bold to see if she was feeling the sexual chemistry he was feeling. And I believe alcohol led to that. I don’t think they ever were physical before that.

When Maddison sat David down at the retreat house and told him she liked him, he lit up like a kid at Christmas like he truly had never been told. Truly had no idea if she felt the same as him. And after that he never stopped grinning. And then they knew they both felt the same so they could take the risk at ruining their reputations and come out with it because at least they’d have each other.

But taking this back to the beginning - Michelle lied to the experts and thus wasted David’s time. And he was ready to give his life to her. To me that is FAR worse than him lying about a text message AFTER she was disrespecting him to his face non stop for weeks.

Lastly, people who said they couldn’t be friends with David after what he had done (they said this at the couple’s retreat) did a 180 and went back to being their friend. David and Maddison are still friends to this day with Camille and Thomas for example. They know the real David. None of you do. There’s a reason most of the cast is closer to David and Maddison after everything that happened.
