Looking for a technical cofounder / founding engineer for an AI startup — Kerala / Remote

Hey everyone,

I’m a founder from Thrissur, Kerala, and I’m building Emma — a personal AI that remembers your life.
The idea is simple: you shouldn’t have to explain yourself to AI from scratch every time. Emma is being built as a persistent memory layer that understands the people, decisions, plans, conversations and context of your life over time.
I’ve already been building the product, so this isn’t just an idea sitting in a Notion document.
Now I’m looking for the right technical person to build the next stage with me.

I initially thought I needed a “CTO”, but I’m realizing that titles don’t really matter right now. I need a seriously good builder who can eventually become my technical cofounder if we work well together.
Ideally you’re strong in some combination of:

Full-stack product development
React / Next.js / TypeScript
Backend architecture and databases
LLMs / AI systems
Memory, retrieval, embeddings or vector databases
Privacy/security
Shipping things ridiculously fast

I’m based in Thrissur, but you absolutely don’t need to be. Remote anywhere in India works.

I also want to be completely transparent: I’m bootstrapping right now and cannot offer a big salary. So I’m not looking for someone to quit a ₹30L job tomorrow and work for free based on promises.

I’m looking for someone who genuinely connects with what I’m building. We can work together first, see whether there’s chemistry, and if we both believe in it, discuss a proper founding role, equity and long-term structure.

One more thing: I’d especially love to hear from women engineers/builders. I’ve previously had a cofounder/CTO relationship that didn’t work out, and this time I’m intentionally trying to meet people outside my usual network. That said, gender isn’t a requirement. The right person is the right person.
I care much more about what you’ve built than where you studied or which company is on your CV.

If you’ve built weird side projects at 2 AM, experimented obsessively with AI, tried starting something yourself, or simply believe personal AI is going to become much bigger than today’s chatbots, I’d genuinely like to talk.
DM me with what you’ve built and a little about yourself.

Even if you’re not interested but know someone who might be perfect for this, I’d appreciate an introduction.

I gave myself a challenge: Can India’s young developers rebuild a world-class AI product in 16 hours?

I’ve been pondering how the hiring process in tech seems to be in disarray.
It seems like everyone has a resume.
Everyone claims to be passionate.
Everyone lists the same tools.
It’s quite rare to see anyone actually building.
So, I’m trying something a bit different.
Instead of interviews, aptitude tests and endless rounds, I’m running a simple challenge.
I’ve got a stealth AI project in the works.
To qualify, applicants need to visit a reference landing page and recreate the experience as closely as possible using AI development tools.
Here are the rules:
**16 hours to complete.**
No degree requirements.
No college requirements.
No LeetCode.
No certificates.
Just proof that you can think, design and ship.
This is open to anyone in India aged 16–29.
The roles available include:
AI Product Builder
Design Systems Builder
Research & NLP Associate
I’m really curious to know:
Do you think AI tools like Cursor, Replit, Claude Code, Lovable, Bolt, Windsurf, etc. are creating a new class of builders?
People who can go from idea → product faster than traditional teams?
Or do you think fundamentals still dominate and these tools are overhyped?
I’m genuinely interested in hearing what this community thinks.
If you’re a developer, designer, founder or student:
Would you take a challenge like this?
Why or why not?
