I've had a G30 530d xd LCI for the past week, it's a great car.
But - i'm having slight buyers remorse over owning the diesel, and think really I should have gone for the sportier 340i
Do you think i'll regret the step down in luxury feel for the petrol/fun that the 340i brings?
I don't want to hand this new car back and change to the 340i and regret the 'downgrade' in the 5 series positives.
Anyone ever stepped down from a 5 to a 3 and regretted it?
I am looking to upgrade the speakers, it has the base system.
Is it possible/reasonable to retrofit the door speakers (tweeters I believe)?
And if not, is replacing the existing system with 3rd party system worth it?
I’ve owned one for a while now and never found a good use for it.
You see it in loads of studios, loads of comments on instagram and forums about how great it is, maybe I’m ignorant but I feel like I’ve never heard it in a tune. Maybe a hard techno/hardstyle kick?
I’ve yet to actually run anything through it to be left with something usable. I’m not blaming the gear, it’s obviously gear that does what it’s supposed to do.
But what actually is it good for?
What’s an actual use for in a tune and if you use it, how and why?
I’ve tried to make it subtle, for like a drum bus, but it’s still worse than a Decapitator plugin run parallel. And feel a pedal could do that parallel job better than the FB.
I am more looking for direction and inspiration to use it in a way that’s as enjoyable for me as everyone else seems to have with it before I just sell it.
