Why didn't Phil try sleeping with Vito before having him whacked?

Not only was Phil Leotardo a house, but he was also a pretty obvious closeted homosexual. You really think a man like Phil who did 20 years in the can didn't ponder these thoughts?? I'm shocked he didn't dupe Vito into thinking that if he slept with him, he'd let him live. I said my piece.

Why does it feel like there's no real rivalries anymore in MLB?

I've slowly started getting back into baseball this season and this is just an observation I had. What happened to the fiery Yankees/Red Sox games or the Dodgers/Giants? Is it because MLB is scheduling more interleague games now? Are players just becoming friendlier with each other? I mean Mookie Betts on the Dodgers literally has a podcast where he interviews players from the opposing team. Maybe I'm wrong or not paying enough attention. Thoughts?

Why are MLB broadcasts obsessed with small sample sizes when talking about player stats?

For example "Player X is batting .191 for the season BUT over his last 5 games he's batting .302!"

I understand that's it's a long season and sometimes it's nice to see the silver lining. But in my opinion, it just comes off as a desperate attempt to make a player sound like he's doing better than he actually is.

Besides not getting paid, do you think MLB players are secretly hoping for a lockout?

I'm a noob but I was thinking about this earlier. I've seen several player interviews and the common theme seems to be how much of a grind the 162 game season is, especially with all the travel involved. Being that we're past the half way point in the season, a lot of ballplayers are playing through injuries or some sort of lingering ailments. For those players who are on lucrative deals or for those who have been smart about saving their career earnings, do you guys think they would secretly want a year off from baseball? Not only to fully recover their bodies and heal whatever pain they're in, but also to spend more time with their friends and family.

Why is Kyle Tucker so bad this season?

Everybody was up in arms when the Dodgers signed him and with 2 months to go in the regular season, he's barely outperforming a replacement player. Not to mention, I've seen Cubs/Dodgers fans complain about his lack of effort. Based on his WAR so far this season, he should be making around $4m annually but instead he's getting paid 15x that. Is this another classic case of a player who got paid and just stopped trying?
